Just wish to clarify to the other readers here. I do not discriminate or try to belittle people who across the border to top up their fuel tank and get their cigarettes. It is completely your life and choice. I was simply sharing my personal experience and how I felt at that point of time.

So, please do not misunderstand that I'm trying to say people who pump petrol across the causeway are naive or stingy.

Just want to be clear about everything before someone misinterpret my posting and start flaming the thread. :thumb:

yup agreed, anyway nowadays i dun go in alone le... unless for watever reason...

be safe guys go in a grp of 2-3 at least.

my k9 is still new, can't comment much on that. but as for my previous ride, k5, its normal having difficulty engaging 1st gear but after lots of mileage the problem disappeared. tinging sound is normal to me during startup, as long as its gone after warmed up... just my 2cents....

My point is very simple. An expresion "100 Malysians bitten me up and took my wallet and bike" means nothing to me. Such warning is useless. At least those unfortunate souls, if they want to properly warn and help the others, they should give details or at least give us a link to a side that their details of their incident are there. How can we be alert if we do not know what exactly happens?

Well totally agree on your point of views but than again,i dont think his point is to warn others but to get information, help, clues and whereabouts for his bike. With some money and a little help from the police should solve the problem i think.I suspect its from the nearby motorbike community. His main purpose is not here to warn us but to ask for help instead.

the tickling sound is normal due to metal parts heating up and expanding. it shd go off after the bike is warmed up. but after bike is warmed up there is still ticking sound then it may be yr cam tensioner..

go bleed yr clutch .. sometimes the factory didnt bleed properly. that may cause yr first gear problem

please go to Guan Hoe immediately to rectify the problem. you are not the only one. there's another fellow Falcon here who got the same problem with engaging the gears, especially gear one and two. It has something got to do with the clutch. get your bike to Guan Hoe and they will change the whole clutch assembly for you. hope you still can claim it under warranty service.

Hi, i also jus change to K8 recently and when i pull e clutch and if i hold it for more then 3 sec i can't engage my first gear and press down and it will bounce back to N gear but if i press it down b4 3sec it can engage normally. Is it also my clutch assembly problem???

1) are spare parts easy to get? - yes, got an agent in bukit merah. have not went to change any funny parts. if really dun have, heard indonesia have an agent too.

2) Reliability? - looks good. have no fail me yet.

3) Maintenance cost? -1 L of eo, 2 plug within $30, juz the front pad dun have much aftermarket one. have to modified or use back stock. anyway the brake is pretty ok.

4) Handling? - light handling, soft suspension n fork. no issue maintaining at 100km/h, will vibrate above that. anyway know the limit of the bike can le... u will not be able to ride it like a busa... it is pulsar! haha

petrol tank is 18L before reserve. nv got to try the reserve. 1 tank can reach 680km. so fc is abt 37km/l.
