Hahahaha ask tat bike shop dun b stupid if a busa can oni go max top is 180 then u better go take super4, cuz super4 can win busa liao it can reach 190.... For 99-00yr busa they dun have power cut, n for 01 above yes it come wif power cut but doesn't mean it can oni reach top @ 190... For inspection tat is no inspection for new bike on e 1st- 3yr but oni use bike after 3yr yes u need to send 4 inspection, everything is e same as PI car n im working as a PI car sale so u tell tat bike shop wat so big bout his bike n do his bike is more ex then a car o wat or reall super JDM that can reach 400km on stock...... If he ask u, then u tell him i say wan........... He still though u carrot........

Ya.. Haa. Super4.. Cant imgine that too. Super4 over take a Haya. Damn.. Its like a nightmare. Dont worry bro. I take it slowly cos registration of the bike will be done end of this mth, I,m bidding for next mth COE then from there i will get LTA to help me. I know this malay guy whose riding a gen 2 bike. He told me that his bike indeed got powercut, he claim that its only up to 10K RPM and cant increase anymore. Erm???? Anyway he have it bypass.

Well I,m just getting inform from those nice riderout there and just fix it up to figure wat really happen to my bike..

Get my homework done properly first before i take any action. But really thanks for your concern too. CHeers:angel:

Y2K simply says it is year 2000 bike

can be r1 or another other bike

Y2k = Year 2000

:btw: the busa tachometer is severely over reading above 7k rpm.. so you may see that it hits the limiter at 11.5k rpm or more in fact the actual engine rpm is at 10.8k rpm only.

Rev limiters

99 - 2000 : 10800 rpm

k1 - k7 : 10200 rpm

stock busa on 5th gear (not 6th) and around 10000rpm (as read directly from the tacho), speedo dial already touches 300km/h (about 275km/h if corrected). so even with powercut, this bike is fast.. get use to the stock performance first and see if u can handle it... mods and bypass can be done some time later.. all the best dude :)..

good info there.

juz curious the cause for this is it because it is having capacitive discharge?? causing the tach to have such reading?

would a inductive pick up improve it ?

i would guess its the calibration of the stepping motor as the tacho signal from the ECU is showing a lower value similar to the signal taken from the ignition coil.

that calibration problem is similar to that of the speedo error as the speed increases..

it's actually a safety feature, to allow riders to "ride" at 300 and be that hair bit "safer"

ic, cos i was trying to find out if the tach reading is nt "stable" due to the CD or not.

getting an inductive pick up will not solve any CD related issues...

try playing ard with the sampling rate...

was reading the yuasa battery manual

something good for all

Test sealed VRLA types with a voltmeter or multimeter.

If the stabilized open circuit voltage is

below 12.5v, the battery needs charging. For a stabilized

open circuit reading, first allow the battery to remain in

an open circuit condition for at least 1 - 2 hours.

LOADED TESTING: There are two types of loaded tests

for motorcycle batteries. You’ll need a voltmeter or multimeter.

Low-load test: Basically, this means turning on the

bike’s lights and taking a voltage reading at the battery.

Remember, hook positive (+) to positive (+), negative (-) to

negative (-).

A 12v system should have at least 11.5v DC with the lights on.

A 6v system should have at least 5.75v DC. If voltage drops below these levels,

it’s time to charge.

High-rate discharge test: This is the best test of battery

condition under a starting load. Use a load testing

device that has an adjustable load. Apply a load of three

times the ampere-hour rating.

At 14 seconds into the test, check battery voltage: a

good 12v battery will have at least 10.5v, and a good 6v

battery, at least 5.25v. If the reading’s low, charge.

Battery Voltage Reading Using a Voltmeter

State of Sealed

Charge VRLA

100% 13.0v

75% 12.8v

50% 12.5v

25% 12.2v

0% 12.0v or less

our busa battery is VRLA

speaking as an expert know what i am "playing"

juz wondering if it is the CD that cause the disturbance. :p

Suzuki has received field reports of a light metallic "ticking" noise coming from the clutch

cover area on the right side of GSX1300RK8-K9 and GSX1300BKK8 model motorcycles. The

noise is most distinguishable when the engine is running at idle speed. The noise occurs when

a clutch spring support bolt 1 loosens from the clutch cam 2and allows the head of a clutch

spring bolt to come in contact with the clutch cover during engine operation. Typically, when

found on retail units this condition occurs at lower mileages.

Suzuki requires that the following procedure be completed on:

All new units prior to retail delivery

z

Retail units exhibiting the noise described above.

Clean the threads of the clutch spring support 1 G

bolts 1 and clutch cam 2. Apply thread lock

to the clutch spring support bolts and tighten

them to the specified torque. Install the

clutch cover using a new gasket and tighten

the cover bolts to the specified torque.

GEN 2 Busa riders thinking of upsizing their engine capacity...

do note that the newer blocks are splitting/cracking after overboring.. :goodluck:

so the idea of going 3mm over bore will be better with a GEN1 block.
