Just wondering... with the lights fitted at the RAM air intake, does it just disabled function of the SRAD?

If so, it'll cost a loss of that additional 5% power that SRAD provides... and here we still have people trying to improve the RAM air intake by sealing the vents and installing the snorkels...

It's really to each it's own... :goodluck:

Am a srad rider before my varadero came in and somehow No sign of lack in moving off or at a higher speed which requires more intake for the cold Air from the air intake scoop.i got that fitted on my Srad for 3yrs back to date 1st: it is not blinding others 2nd:it really helps in all terrain.

Bro MER was curious too, however this lights fitted on bikes come with a high tech device which is called ( LSDD ) aka Lights Sensor Dimming Device. it capability

Highway: Percentage of the brightness drops to 35% with solid Road lighted condition.

Urban: Percentage of the brightness maintains at 45% with normal road lighted condition.

NSHW: Percentage can be manually set to gain it performance and brightness without blinding to other road users.

When road lighted condition is very bad it will increase to 80% or more automatically.

how this LTDD works is simple. it detects Lumen instead of tradition Sensor which function in the way that, under low lighted areas Lights just turns on fully and vice versa.

hope i cleared all the doubts in you and Bro Mer.

cheers

Actually I really curious how:

"No sign of lack in moving off or at a higher speed which requires more intake for the cold Air from the air intake scoop"

is quantifiable in this case...

Firstly by the design of SRAD, it is not just a cold air intake. As you mentioned you have ridden a SRAD before, you should be aware that stands for Suzuki RAM Air Direct. And if you understand what the SRAD does, blocking the intake severely cripples its function.

Further to the first point, SRAD has no effect on low speed at all. And in many cases, riders who installed aftermarket exhausts just gets their gains negated by messing up the SRAD.

Finally, just so you are clear, I'm not here to trash your product. I'm quite impressed by the intensity of the lights, it's just that the mounting of the projector lens can be done at a better location for the busa.

pretty nice light but fixing there basically stop all "air" from going in at high speed...

btw kaieiru mean SRAD = to the ram air thingy... not the suzuki srad as per u say.

i do not wan my engine to feel suffocated at high speed....

btw ur nick very familiar...

and i think u are quite "favorite" in the S4 before.

This topic has been debated before. to some its more economical to have a side ride as transport. Riding a busa everyday is not suitable due to several reasons.

Increase millage --> increase maintainence --> higher costs

Increase usuage--> increase tyre wear. busa is a well know tyre eater. tyres for class 2 bikes not cheap

and parking ease.. parking small bike , you are not worried it gets scratched by other bikes squeezing in the bike lots. also not so woriied about bike stolen or parts stolen when parking outside.

overall cost with a small bike you save in the long run..

you busa tyre last longer, engine oil last longer.. majar maintenence don't come so fast you

you dont have to tahan the heat generated when squeezing thru jams.

some ppl disagree so its really up to u..

Hi mate,

thanks for your clarification! 1st the Lights mounted at the angle of side clearance 35degree.front clearance 10meters ahead without blinding other road user If you noticed that Busa in the video is parked on top of a Curb.we have tested and show no signs of disturbance to other user on that day itself.

2nd: won't you find that user with HID fitted in their Headlight without leveling the Proper aspect height to road causes an Instant Impact to blind others as compare to Leds?this project has been ongoing for 2yrs without any complains.therefore hope i helps to clarified some of the curiousness for those whom might find things hard to accept.

cheers!

is there anyway to mount the lights at some other place instead of the ram air??

Oh... what is happening here....? If B.O.C is still active.... why not offer the newbie to join... Make the club alive. If they intend to be silent and low profile. Can't we organise a new Hayabusa Motorcycle Club for everyone. We have to find a President and Vice President to lead the club. Then follow by team members. We should be togeher in everything then we can make it happen. Even ex busa rider can join so we could share knowledge and experience from them. We riders should not criticise or condemn each other. Doesn't mean you ride busa, we cannot mix with other clubs or team. Some people love busa but can't afford due to lot of commitments. I hope we could gather all the busa riders and be ONE.
