Good Morning Everyone! Thx Haya^Busa and company this morning in helping me to search for my passport. Haiz :sian: must have flown outta of my jacket pocket when riding. :giddy: Anyway got back to Singapore and reported at Tuas checkpoint, so tomolo going down ICA to submit police report and make new one. :sian: half liao ....... nxt two wks no cheap petrol liao :weep:

The passport fee will also be cut from $70 to $60.

 

Those who submit their applications online, post or through the deposit boxes, will enjoy a further $10 rebate and need only pay $50.

 

ICA said the validity period of new passports is being reduced so that new technologies can be incorporated more rapidly.

 

One such new technology is the biometric passport.

 

But the ICA reminds Singaporeans that there is no need for a mass conversion of non-biometric passports to biometric passports when it begins in October.

 

This is especially so for Singaporeans who do not intend to travel to the US. - CNA

urm, one question.....supposedly we go to IRAS on Monday and submit, will the new rule applicable since we can only collect our passport next two weeks?? :confused:

oni if u apply after 1 april then the new rule will apply..... so if u apply before 1st april should be 10 yrs ba................... :smile:
