John (NA) has a lot of lobang. He also helped me to replair my bike. The shop he recommened did First Class job and very reasonable price. What I was most impressed abt the shop, that John had recommended me, are following:

1. They fixed the scratches on my mirror (I never asked and never expected anyone to do)

2. They fixed scratches on my exaust pipe (I did not ask either). Most impressive is no way to realise that this exaust has being repaired.

3. One of the stickers had very small tinny boubles. The workshop asked me to order new once at their cost. I refused because was not worth it to spend S$50 for such minnor deffect. Anyway those boubles went off 2 days later.

4. Paint job, shop claims accuracy on the colour 90%. To me looks 100%.

Need to thank John (NA) again.

Cheers

Never heard of sudden death of meter like that.

Try using another meter to test first rather than wasting money on changing sensor.

OEM is best, digital meter got interval delay reading, most can't go beyong 300, sensors got more errors. Aftermarket ones must really know how to do the setting correct.

If you are in the situation that you have to change, can try those workshop who commonly service Busas. They might have immediate second hand availability because some of them had changed to 99/00 model 340 meter. :goodluck:

Thank you J,

Mine is a 99 model, do you have any good digital speedo to recommend? or you come across any 2nd had meter? the 340 one ...

No meter to gauge in singapore road kind of scared ... :cheeky:

Out of curiosity but does changing to pre 01 speedo affect the actual speed readings? i.e. izzit accurate as it will automatically sync to the speed sensor?

All bikes and cars OEM meters inherent errors, is just a question of more or less. Regards to 340 fixture, I have not heard of any complaints. To be well assure, you can fix 340 and mount a GPS for checking true land speed for its percentage errors. :D

You can get the world fastest bicycle digital meter that gives you 420 or more readings ... http://smilie-land.de/t/i-l/lachen/lachen0001.gif

:sorry: I am just joking.

There are some that can read beyong 300 if you do a search online, but sad to say, there is no agent here and usually very costly. There is no digital replacement for Busa so far for "pluck and play" from aftermarket. What they have mostly are magnetic sensors placed on the brake rotor (cutting story short :D).

I can foresee they are a lot of issues and hassle in near future by doing that, putting aside the issues about guarantee period for pre-mature failure and water vapour condenses. IMO ... You know what ??? OEM is the best. :thumb:

If you really cannot find ... Look for our most courtesy customer help desk personel ... Mr bugsy for assistant. He can answer your needs. :D

Thanks bro! Or another alternative is to dump in a speedohealer? :D

Ya ... I know that ... but frankly ... most of us would rather spend that healer money for something else. :p

Let that increase errors in the meter "merge the oneself ego satisfaction". http://smilie-land.de/t/i-l/lachen/lachen0001.gif
