u came back from the bike week le ? How is everything ? good n shoik ? :cheeky:

stock brakes sucks.. but what do u intend o do wif yr bike do u reli need so much braking powe.. too much braking power and if u can control it is bad well

the common changes is chage to steel braided brake hose. chag brake pads teh stock one no grip. chg master pump..

the rest is optional and in my opinion abit stupid and wase money. unless u have a need for it.

they will be never an ending to modiifcations so u need to know what u need vs what u wan unless u loaded too much cash to spare.

i seen someone push the stock bike to its limit using stock brakes. the most common upgrade is chg brake hose and brake pads. most efficient and $$ sense. a master pump if u can afford.

too great a braking power and if the rider cannot control . get wheel lock. then crash also no point.. :thumb:

You sure done some research and know your stuffs well. :thumb:

Recommended to use the K series 1000 fork (K4 and above), Brembo 19/20 brake master pump and steel braided brake hoses. As for aftermarket brake discs, they are good to have but the stock discs work just fine unless they are warped or due for replacement.

stock brake rotors are good. but not good enough in a certain way. some people may think investing in a pair of full-floating (FF) or semi-floating (SF) front brake rotors are a waste of money. however, FF and SF rotors gives you better control on your brakes. more control = more safety. if you are in a corner and you need to slow down due to some obstacles, which gives you the best performance? its the FF followed by the SF, and the stock rotors, gives you the danger of flipping over on a high side if not controlled properly. FF and SF rotors aren't made just for cosmetics or for the rich. they have a purpose here. :thumb:

i can only agree with your opinions to a certain extend. upgrade of brakes is not waste of money. to me, if you have a 200HP bike, your braking must be of 600HP. no point you cant slow down your bike fast enough, even if your bike can go fast enough. :cheeky:when having so much braking power, you need to adjust and practise and to learn how to use it. same goes for the stock brakes. the stock brakes are much under-powered, especially at high speed. yes, there are people who had done the mission of pushing the bike to the limits with stock brakes, but will the situation had been better with upgraded brakes? if the person is not skillful enough to use the stock brakes and judge its braking power according to the speed he's travelling, it'll be disatrous.

brakes are worth investing.

Hi guys and girls,

I follow the discussion about breaks. As you may know, some of you, I'm hardcore "original". I'm riding my bike for a year and I never had any problem with my breaks. I do find changing the breaks is waste of money. They might improve the breaking power of the bike but that could only be compared on the track and not on daily use. If you speed, then no matter what breaks you have installed is no use. I used the bike on the NSHW and had a few emergency breaking. So far the standerd breaks performed excellent. I never tried different breaks and to be honest I do not really care to try as I'm happy with the standard ones.

Modification, to my opinion, serves two purposes. Either to personalize the bike or frequent use of track. Other than that is really waste of money. I rather spend these money on high quiality fuel and good maintainance of the bike. Put TRE, exhaust pipes etc etc, might improve bikes performance but at the end of the day 90% you still go side-by-side with KIAs and CUPs (speed limit).

Please do not start jumping the gun on me. This is just my opinion.

Cheers
