is it good? i wana consider it..

Well bro, my experience is limited. After considering on paper, i.,e internet searches I limited my choice to 3 bikes. the MS, the GS and the Super Teneree. No demo unit for the super Tenereee though...so tried the first 2 out. The MS won me over. It comes loaded with features. Traction control, ABS, electronic adjustment..etc... The GS only come std with ABS. Of course U can add it as a n option and the prices becomes very similar. Almost head to head.

The MS just felt right. It's lighter and feels more nimble. The seat height is 33inches but I didn't feel so obvious. On the GS, the seat height is keenly felt for some reason. I guess it's the weight of the bike.

Last thign you may consider is chain vs shaft. That bothered me quite a bit coz of maintence issues. But at the end I thought screw it. I;ve only ridden chain driven bikes anyway til date. And looking at the oilers availiable..I guess I can continue to be lazy...

yes I have tried the demo bike......surging problem? ok I nvr notice le ...I only noticed it is nimble and much easier to handle than the GS. Plus all the sexy electronics.......I come to realize there is never a perfect vehicle....so i bite the bullet and just did it! Waiting for delivery and COE bidding (today). Dlelivery is sometime next month end ish...

wa! thats fast hand! I decided to wait for 2011 model instead. I do not want my hard earned money to go into the drain. I had read from the US and European forum. There are problems such as poor built panniers that seep in water, harda to remove panniers, surging problem at low rpm, shaking and filmsy rear fender, laggy fuel electronic status, dash board flickering and no tire monitoring system.

I wanna make sure at the very least i am getting an 'IMPROVED' version.

bro....it's an italian bike....you will nvr get a "perfect" machine....if you want peace of mind , better production QC then you should consider the BMs or Super Teneree. Just my humble 2 cents....may kena flame but this is the gospel according to me

I went thru this debate with myself already...............but then again u r rite....it's your hard earned $$$ be comfy spending it.........

I have to agree that there is no perfect bike. I paid deposit only for 2011 model not 2010.

But usually for new release models, it will take few more years for them to do upgrade and improved version. Rule of my thumb is i never be the scrap goat to buy those 'NEW' and 'JUST' released bike. There bound to have problems arising from unforseen circumstances linked to technical and mechanical issues. For example, look at kawasaki concours 1400. 2007-2009, slight improvement every year. From 2010 onwards, alot of the problems still found in the earliest version was rectified. I have certain expectation on bikes. Poor built Givi panniers that seep in water is totally unacceptable especially when i am paying premium price for Ducati.

Fair eungg bro....so you already put your money down for the 2011 already? Can like dat ah? Hedge price hikes?

At the point of time in August, minerva did not have stock for touring S model. As they couldnt confirmed the new stock arrival, i asked whether its possible for me to wait for 2011 model then since its only few months more. They said ok and i place deposit. At the end of this year,i am going to increase the deposit to secure the deal and locked in the agreed bike price. ^___^

Bro, better check with mary on those rectification that i mentioned in the my post. If you are getting the touring version, the panniers issue matters alot.
