lol, you can go to our KRR thread, there are alot of KR riders around.

Remember to do your servicing regularly to avoid power loss and other problems. Where to do, you have to ask and decide yourself. good luck!

Coolant depends on your budget.. Some people prefer low price, that's green in colour.. Mid range will be maxims(dunno the actual brand) High range will be Engine ice.. blue.. :)

Ok to further explain your machine..

normal condition, normal riding.. No high rev daily High rev means RPM 7+ Max RPM 5~6 Every 3~6months go for normal servicing.. yearly go for full service should be ok.. can drag abit longer.. depends on yourself.. and your budget as well..

extreme riding.. High rev daily, can hit RPM 10 daily.. "recommended" every 3~6 months full service.. monthly basic service..

Basic - change spark plug and EO

Full - change spark plug/EO/coolant*only the front* behind still remains..

Wash carb/block/piston/piston ring, check conrod/engine condition.

overhaul - all above plus checking and cleaning of all your gears, clutch plates / internal engine bearings.

Wear and tear- wheel bearing/swing arm bearings/chain/spocket/clutch cable/fuel line*throttle/speedo cable/rpm cable/leds or bulb*headlight,signal light burst.

Still alot more.. check out the website on this hands-on or go to kawa website.. :)

is range based on the how ex is the product instead of the quality and spec of the product?

this method will cause carbon to build up at the valve area.. after some time the valve will get start and have problem over 7 RPM. is better to high rev occasionally.

extreme riding.. High rev daily, can hit RPM 10 daily.. "recommended" every 3~6 months full service.. monthly basic service..

wat u mean by front onli?? as in coolant reservoir not need to change?

overhaul - all above plus checking and cleaning of all your gears, clutch plates / internal engine bearings.

include valve cleaning too

Wear and tear- wheel bearing/swing arm bearings/chain/spocket/clutch cable/fuel line*throttle/speedo cable/rpm cable/leds or bulb*headlight,signal light burst.

juz my 2 cents..

Coolant - u mention mid range, high range.. and the categories u place the brand seem to due to cost..

coolant reservoir - the bike shop dun change cos they lazy.. cos have to take the tube connect to rad off.. extra work.. but actually there is a need to clean the reservoir too..

Pink: cool down engine at a "faster" rate but temp also go up slightly faster abit..

Blue: temp go down fastest.. go up at normal rate*that's a feedback from one of the forumers..

Oic.. okok.. will change the reservoir when i'm free.. :D

coolant don't have to worry, just check once in awhile make sure if it's enough or when your temperature tends to go high.

Engine oil - every 3000km should be fine.

2T - Check it every week and top up would be the best and safest :)

Fast up,fast down, (I feel)

a material have its own thermal conductivity..

it is based on the amount of heat energy needed to increase its temp..

too troublesome to explain all the science terms..

in short, the temp increase/decrease is based on that..

even thou there is a bit diff in thermal conductivity when gaining heat energy and losing heat energy, the diff is not very great..

u mention the slow up and fast down (from forumers) is juz feeling.. not scientific facts..

Erm... the one I am using for racing is almost blackish when first poured fresh out of the container.. oily to touch. A German product that has lubricant added to it to lubricate the water pump and its seals.

If according to that bike shop....green, pink and blue colour describe the thermal efficiency characteristics of the coolant, I really would like to know blackish colour coolant means what?? o_O
