i'm veri blur now the $15 is to pay for the trip which mean just join the trip & need to pay a fee to the TS or tis amount is to pay for the durian makan at the plantation or other needs? pls clarifly it thanx u

As specified by the last SMS, apologise for the lack of info and thus this micommunications. The money is for the eat=all-u-can in the plantation.

 

I dare say there IS a markup, like everything else in this world, small insignificant sense for me and encik to spend time and resources for recce and management of this trip so that we can minimise the already significant amount of bodies back to SG (no guarantee, still depends a lot in God).

We've already made our stand very clear to you that any production gathering from this forum, it will have to go through our merchandiser as announced very long time ago. What you do out of this forum is not our concern ;-

 

 

 

Why such stand is taken?

 

GiaCOMO is also one of the founder of this site and the inital collaboration established is that any productions the margin gained will be equally shared and pass back to andy for the operation of this forum site. Hope this clear up further.

Firstly, let us establish that we have complete faith in SBF Merchandises and GiaCOMO's productions. In fact, I own a few myself. I also find GiaCOMO's pricing moderately competitive as quotations were requested in the past.

 

It is obvious that 1DTO as a subset of SBF, not an individual entity riding on SBF. If we were an individual entity, we would have sorted your advertiser's section. As a subset group, we would like to distingush ourselves apart from other groups. We would also not use SBF logo in our members'.. let's not call it merchandise or CMO or even Garage Sale, too profiteering, we call it momentos if you like.. so as not to trouble your committees and copyright issues. Plus we do not earn for our own pleasure too, our insignificant mark-ups are to subsidize our expenses in the process of creating more trips for the group.

 

Furthermore we don't have say where we come from, like Singtel comes from the SG Government. Anyway, Singtel t-shirts does not have the SG Logo (or flag). Based on these grounds, we also in addition respected what the moderators feel about confusing the fellow forumers about "merchandisers" aka mementos offered in this thread and it's sub-threads. So we take our orders for these mementos out of SBF forum. The post you pointed, is actually a descriptive narration of NOT to discuss the momentos over SBF, if it was too descriptive for comfort we would have actioned on the slightest word from the moderators and removed that post. If it was not choosing GiaCOMO's offer for production then, with respect due to GiaCOMO, their prices though competitive but not so compared to our present service provider who also does not compromise on quality too. As mentioned, we are SBF's sub-group, orders are not as substantiate as SBF yourgoodself. And in business sense if the profits becomes too premium then our demands would also be devastating.

 

We do hope that SBF as a business entity does not limit our 1st (or even last) production for momentos to our members in conjuction with our trips since our establishment in 17 Dec 2007 and have a slightly further foresight on what 1DTO can contribute in the future not limited to what has been contributed in the past. We hope to enjoy our stay in SBF.

Although we do not like to compare service providers and the club's similar yet different pricing system, we do think it doesn't hurt to inject a bit of competition into the garment industry.
