i have the RC8 R great bike , its on the way to singapore right now should be there in 2 weeks and my mates RC8 leaves next week from the UK to Singapore as well , they are both track bikes and will be staying at his place in KL as he just moved there for work , hope to see a few of you at Sepang and Johor

hi bros.. im thinking of upgrading to rc8r 11/12 model.. any advices on maintainance cost and fuel consumption?

sorry i cant really help you , i service my bike myself , never been back to the shop since i picked it up , oil filters are 6 usd , i change oil and filter every other track day , as for fuel i have no idea i put 10 liters in at a time then just top it up to the same level every session . i dont use it on the road only on track .

from standard you need to fit 40 tooth rear sprocket , G2 throttle go for the 0.25 smoother off the bottom and only 70% pull compared to standard , if your using in Singapor you might be better to stick with the standard system the Akra is very very loud :-}}} it sounds awesome .

i rum the bazzaz system on mine with QS , TS and self mapping it makes a big difference to the bike .

 

i got mine in 2009 new the only problem iv had is i had one coil go but that only a 15-20 min job to fix , great bikes lots of fun to ride , the handling is great love the front end feed back and feel , they have smoothed out the power a lot on the new one get a 2009 RC8R if you can they have the most power out of all of them

 

if your at on of the SBR track day at Sepang come and have a look my mate and i will be at all of them so just look out for the 2 RC8's

i`m not riding a sportsie tho.. i`m still playin motards.. been tinkin of jumpin onto a sportsie.. prolly in 2013 after i grad frm sch.. still contemplatin which bike to get.. hehs.. will consider wen the date draws nearer.. =)
