Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

nope,i'm riding a divvy900...juz curious of whether people are buying tat bike....it looks cool with the fairing..and check out the exhaust pipe..chio!!:angel:

its more expensive than the fz6.. so i guess not many pple are biting this bait. looks are subjective, for the price of this xj6, i would buy fz6 and fit a full fairing. :cheers:

I thought of buying one as the price is among the lowest for its class. Can I have your feedback on the bike:

 

1. performance. What is good and bad on it

2. fuel consumption

3. how much did you pay for it and did you install any boxers

u mean lowest as in how much was u quoted? OTR + ins does it come to abt 17K?...I thought of getting one too...but the price too near FZ1 alredy...still waiting for the right time n price...Euro got problem...dunno if bike pricing will be affected also or not...

i've seen one malay riding a XJ6N on the road....The one i ordered is XJ6S (half fairing version)...tomorrow COE bidding ends...hope to get good news...

Can't decide whether to buy the naked version or the half fairing version. I saw there is a full fairing version that look very nice but it is not available locally.

 

I intend to install top and 2 side box if I buy one. Any good recommendation what to box to install and how much? After installing the 2 side box, it must not be much wider than the bike itself so that there won't be any problem going into vehicle

From what i know XJ6 are rare in SG, even the bike shop can't confirm if there's box bracket for this bike in SG. Found in other country but damn expensive............:(

Most of the common parts will not be a problem since its warranty by agent and Yamaha agent are not famous for shortage of spare parts like some other brand. Unless major engine trouble. Yamaha parts are quite easy to find in SG.

The back bracket is $300. The box is $120. I forgot to asked about the side bracket as I intend to install two side box.

 

In total how much did you pay for the bike w/o insurance. How is the bike performance? My contact is 96456200.

Hi nic

thx for the info . As I'm still running the bike, can't give too much feedback. Generally it's very smooth and quite. But power wise to me is too tame . Maybe I've use to sport bike. Will feedback more after I'd run in the bike.
