Me: Doctor, sorry I am soaked wet. Forgot to bring my raincoat.

Doctor: Never mind. Strange, I thought bikers always keep the raincoat under their seat.

Me: .... (not from under the seat you idiot, it is from the box, and I don't have a box!)

older bikes have space under the seat to put rain coat. Nowadays, bikes are lighter 'cos less space under the seat. Only have space to put instruction booklet, insurance papers and tool kit that's tightly packed.

i dunno what kind of rain u r going through... but the last time i got soaked in the rain i was shivering all the way home until i felt totally miserable, bike ended up in a flood, reached home and caught a chill and was running a temperature, ended up taking the rest of the day off from work.

it was a monsoon kind btw, the kind that you cannot see anything except the lights of the car in front of you.

and i stupidly thought that i could proceed without a raincoat through that ****... now even with a raincoat... no way

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

I dont wear raincoats, because I think they dont work, and I get sick easier with raincoats holding in the heat/water.

Wet T-shirt Gang Unite!

raincoat holds in the water?

true... but shouldnt the water not get in in the first place?

Bought my first bike and collected the little monster the same day after passing license and went into that sort of rain on the way back! Motorbike become motorboat.

I've been walking in the rain since my secondary school days so, I don't get sick in that way. When the weather is hot however...

ooo... i like monsoon... makes me totally miserably wet tho i managed to savage the top part of my body cos of the raincoat. prolly cos i wear riding jacket + rain coat = dry. bahahah.

My favourite 'raincoat' was a leather jacket I got for 100 ringgit in JB. The zip was waterproof, and it had a horse collar to keep water out of the neck area. Better, I couldn't feel anything hitting me even at highway speeds, be it wind, rain, small stones, insects...

Used it till it literally disintegrated a few years later.

I use the 'Adult Poncho' you can find at 7-11 or other convenience stores.. store it uunder my seat for emergency use.

Simply LOVE the post-riding 'effect'! hee... :D

oh yar... bought this riding jacket which is also half-raincoat (esp if its mild drizzling or rainy but short distance travel) @ promotion price $150 @ Motorworld. Heard they're going lower again, not sure ahahas... But proof very useful when I kenna rain when I was just few meters away from home. My pants total wet, but my top at least half-dry hahas

Oh dear what does it do?

This $2 poncho is durable, sleek and convenient.

The only cons is - after riding, i only had the sleeves of the poncho on while the remaining is just torn and tattered.

Must have torn, flew off and swat on a car windscreen.

Ride safe..!

seems like from your siggy, all the bikes that you rode are all without seat compartment. Hahaha. Not true that nowadays bike have less space. Take a look at scooters. Some can even put a whole tennis racket i reckon. :D

Tennis racket? The instructor of a Japanese swordplay club I went to used to transport a ton of airsoft weapons in his X-9, one huge bag full of them.

I can't begin to think if I should have bought a maxiscooter instead for the gigantic built-in storage.
