Hi was wondering if there is any advise on the so-called better brake-line brand, or should i say the brand you prefer given that everyone has their personal preference

Well, there's (from my own knowledge):

a. HEL

b. Goodridge

c. Venhill

d. GPR (tw)

these are the stainless steel brakelines (with customized colours) that i know of. Of course,

the main bulk of knowledge was gathered by mechanics and sales peeps

selling the brand 'they' carry.

So seriously, which is the more reputable one hmmm... i bet you've heard about the kind where the sales person says, "oh that brand is from the US, but manufactured in china/tw/thailand", "oh this brand from UK, since 1980's..."

So yes, i'm confused, and i realize that to each his own based on budget, brand used since your 1st bike blah blah... just wanna hear each persons choice and reason - and hopefully a price and location as to get that super deal you've got!

Thanks!

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

mine as well... venhill has served my KR for almost 2 years.. still going strong.. i believe all ss brakelines are good enough for daily usage with enhanced stopping power..you pay a premium for the brand and their manufacturing process..my 0.02 cents

1st sign - your braking power of the stock brakeline decreases by-day..

2nd sign - The size of you STOCK RUBBER Brakeline will "buldge-up" or "expand" more than the first time you notice.
