I have heard about kerosene, or even petrol. Haven't really tried it though. Does it really work?

dude i know what you mean.

well as for me i myself have a pair of aftermarket high polished rims.

usually i don't ride when it rains la..

ok main point, use " Meguiar Aluminum Polish " + " Meguiar's Aluminum Rims All Wheel Cleaner "

remember this 2 products are ONLY FOR ALUMINUM parts.

TIPS:

polish ONLY with a microfiber cloth.

after a rainy ride, try to wipe dry with a microfiber cloth.

NEVER EVER USE your microfiber cloth at hot areas as it will melt.

Also before polish-ing, always always ensure that area is clean otherwise swirls will occur.

end of day result = you get to see a MIRROR reflection of yourself

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

My Toys:

Harley XR1200

CB400-V-tec III (served me well )

Streetfighter S ( never felt better! )

Hey dude. I know what you're saying. Try petrol to clean hte stuff. Really works. Removes the spots and all. I've done it so many times. Leaves no evidence of it being sued too. Haha.

Don't argue with an 18-wheeler.

if u want to remove rust, u can try getting carb cleaner.

it can be found at autobacs easily.

if too stubborn, can use help of fine sand paper too.

after that you can polish it with "brasso"

brasso + autosol! autosol to remove stains, and brasso for the polish! old school methods, tested and proven.

so do u mean i use autosol first followed by brasso??

Posted

try using normal car wax to remove the stains. works well and is non corrosive and wun thin out ur rims due to abrasion from metal polish.

hope this helps

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

where can you get kerosene anyway..?

diy shop, home fix, self fix. ur local hardware shop should also have them. they sell in glass bottle of 1L or 750ml (can't remember).

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?
