congrats haoKR.

anyway 19yr old KRR insurance only can buy from NTUC. i not sure mitsui can buy or not but last i heard is that to buy from them for KRR must be 20 years old. but you can try asking.

the rest all cannot as 19 years old is considered too young to insure for them. this is according to the KRR thread.

That time I go, AXA cheaper by $10, but need go upper thompson somewhere...troublesome, so I just go NTUC. Mitsui quote me twice the amount more than other companies if I remember correctly. I was 21 at that time though.

Call them up and ask first before going down, saves the time.

Congrats haoKR

haha. thx thx

okay.i try to find thier number n ask ask

many people in the forum recommend NTUC. according to people, its the most stable one. although their premiums are higher, it seems that their benefits are better and their no claim discounts are higher.

and like what vashie said, its better to call and ask first.

insurance is per year.if u nvr claim ur insurance before ur next insurance theres a NCD(no claim discount).1st yr is 10%,2nd year 15% and 3rd year 20% which is the max of discount if u nvr claim at all.i've been using ntuc since i ride last time, due to cheap & convenient

if you stick to MSIG you get the no claim discount. if you switch to another company then you start back from the beginning and pay for a new premium. :sian:

because hearing what vashie said, the price MSIG quoted him versus NTUC and AXA, is a large difference. My shop quoted me 1.3k for my KRR insurance :( With that amount i am paying for the insurance for my KRR each year, i can almost buy a 2nd hand Honda NSR at its machine price every year...

Phantom if need pay almost 1k for insurance...I rather buy sports bike. Same pricing. :nono:

Yea I heard. Not to be racist or anything, but some people say chinese prefer SP, malays prefer KRR. And as more people riding KRR and had accident, the insurance for the bike got damn high.

I did consider getting sports bike before, but ended up with phantom because cheap and can put box. But after so long...The pricing like no difference due to the repairs made.

Sports bike expensive reasonable...but phantom 1k insurance?! :bouncefire:

Premium should be = 3rd party/ 3rd party fire & thief/ first party if I not wrong. :o

Somewhere along those lines...the kind of premium you prefer will differ in price. I don't remember exactly the types. :cheeky:

if for example you use NTUC for 1 year, then year 2 you will get a 5% NCD (no claim discount). but if you year 2 change to MSIG, then you will lose the 5% discount you will get if you stay with NTUC
