HELP-Rough engine sounds

Hi

My naked bike TVS RTR 180 skidded at the yellow box weeks ago and since then my engine sound became rougher with clink clank noises at low speed and the acceleration became significantly slower.

 

Ichanged the engine oil and the problem is still there.

This bike is excellent

If anyone can offer their help or advice, it would be great.

The workshop couldn't care less and I would like to solve it the DIY way.

A pulsar mysteriously appeared at Planet last weekend but Ah Chong declined to check out the acclaimed Indian designed braking system...

 

Because he doesn't have the right tools. The Apache being an Indian model, you might have better luck going back to the dealer.

 

TS's issue is actually reversed in my case. Bike dropped and became more powerful ! Must be some carbon shaking loose or something

India bikes - Universal Motors deals with Pulsars; along with the shop / dealer that sold you the bike. The source of your machine can also tell you where are the recommended shops for servicing your make of bike, if any.

Sounds like there is some misalignment of the valves. Better to get the proper mech to check the top-block settings
