Help with owner w/o license

Hi mates,

 

My friend 'A' w/o license is intending to get a bike as his still taking his bikes lesson in the process.

 

He came across this good deal where the owner is intending to let go urgently.

Not wanting to miss the deal, A intends to get the bike.

 

As A w/o license, he do not wants to lay up the bike due to the inspection hassle.

 

Is it possible to transfer the ownership to A (W/O license) and whereby adding me as a subrider(i have a bike license) ?

 

What are the procedure needed and what is needed to pay?

pay transfer charge, then take insurance for yourself (sub-rider) and your friend.

under insurance indicate that owner/main rider not riding/.

and these are done at LTA or NTUC?

1. purchase non-rider insurance from insurance company. You can actually add a sub-rider for this insurance so someone can ride it around to warm up for you.

 

2. Head down to LTA with the vehicle owner to carry out the transfer. Bring along all your NRIC and insurance certificates.

 

 

By the way there's not only ntuc around, you can call up and get quotation from other companies, they might be cheaper. Good luck!

its easier & more importantly, cheaper to lay up the bike and 'unlay' it after he gets his license. unless you are going to chip in some money.
