yes...1st in KL and maybe in Malaysia....stop at traffic light people like to stare at my bike...maybe they think...'what type of bike of this one?' heheehe..

My hornet250 has only less than half a year more to live.....shld I renew its coe and give it a overhaul? or shld I start looking for another mean machine? I'm still in the midst of getting class 2.....Any advice?

I suggest u hold on with your current bike first since you are in the mist of getting your class 2.

 

Renew coe and overhaul? It depends on the condition and mileage of your bike. Logically speaking, people will usually change a new bike or 2nd hand bike when their bike is time (10 years up). B'cos a huge amount of cost (e.g. coe, overhaul and inspection) is incurred and you still have your 'old' bike at the end of the day.

 

Thus, I would suggest u holding on to your bike (if possible) till u get your new licence and change to a bigger class, as there are more choice in >400cc

thanks eugeneg for your comments. actually i dun think i'll be upgrading to a class 2 bike cos i'm quite small size, m having a bit of a problem handling the bike at the riding centre already (but I jus cleared subject 2.01 woohoo! heehee ). Yah guess i shld let my hornet go soon though i really like this bike...

Maybe, since 250cc Hornet has stop production.

1. No need to overhaul if you bike is not giving you any major problem.

2. Inspection is just normal bike inspection when doing COE renewal. Same as the one you do yearly.

3. The only costly part is PQP in COE renewal, but unused portion of PQP can be used to offset for buying new bike COE.
