Hi guys, just bought a H919 year04 last mth. Just wanna know if anyone might be interested to buy my used Givi rack, base & box. I believed it'll fit the 600s model too. I'm getting stuffs from H&B so this 1 has to go. Just give me a buzz, selling cheap.

By the way, anyone fixed a center stand? I'm curious to know which center stand shld I buy, stock or sw-motech? Any inputs will be much appreciated.

Cheers

I got mine from H&B for S$295 4 years ago

Easier to lubricate the chain.

Thks for the info, I'll be getting sw-motech as there were many good feedback on this center stand from hornet forum elsewhere.

It's a one-time fill up kinda thing. Not sure how long it'll last. Hehe. So far so good. Don't feel any difference actually.

since non replenishable type, guess it should last around a year or maybe less? Since the fluid in the battery pack play one of the important role.

Center stand, you can purchase it from biketech21 they carry SW Motech products too. I wonder how much you bought your 2004 CB900F?

Any old bird here had a friend or foe who installed OEM exhaust for 250?

Seems like there's only sp tadao st legal here, but after some small search.. there seems to be no takers.

All 250s in sgp on stock exhaust? so disappointing.. :(

Bro, it's mainly due to when the Hornet 250 was launched, the wasn't any/much street legal exhaust. When lta starts approving different aftermarket exhausts, the number of hornets owners are too small for bike shops to bring in stocks.

So, if u wanna get one, gotta order which means pay extra. That's my opinion.

Been wanting to get centre stand too. Any idea how much biketech21 selling?

I flip through pages before saw someone wrote the main stand cost about 300 plus... not sure how much it cost now must call them up to verify.

There's blue flame exhaust for CB250F

rollabyka got a point, Hornet population are way puny hence the choices for aftermarket stuff are kinda limited... but most of the Hornet pipe design are too conventional.

Thanks bro. But that's quite pricey IMO. Will check with them again.

Appreciate your help very much (despite the ride doesn't belong to me)

Wonder if there's other model main stand fit Hornet? CBR1100XX? CB400SF?

hi all!

am considering getting a hornet 250 later this year. was hoping to get some info from you seasoned hornet riders. firstly what's a good price range for one; more than 3k...or less? and since these bikes aren't exactly new was wondering if anyone here has done a top and bottom overhaul (i'm thinking worst-case scenario here) and how much did it cost?

oh and regular servicing-wise, is similiar to a s4? thanks in advance and a happy chinese new year to all

ps anyone letting one go for 2k? =))))

snowflake.. from what i saw on the thread, ppl are selling ard 3-4k.. i agree with u that hornet 250 is kinda old.. but it's still fun to ride.. my fren who's riding a cb400 just commented that my hornet 250 somewhat feel smoother than his bike.. (for god knows what reason i do not know).. Depending on ur luck, if u bought on with a good engine.. chances are u may not need to do anything major to it.. being a rare bike here in sg, 90% of the shops does not carry the parts. I know that boon siew does carry the general maintenance parts.. some items u may need to order in from ebay.. Servicing is about the same (for EO & Spark plugs)..

I'm intending to sell my bike later on in the year for ard 4k =D (well.. see how it goes..) oh ya.. my COE is until 2018.. lol..

Guys, I just made a great discovery today..........

My rear shock is busted! Gotta get it serviced or replaced.. thinking of installing a CBR600RR OEM rear shock.. think can fit??

If you hv the extra moolahh, go with ohlins. But if you're thinking in the direction of cbr600, I know that the front forks from f4i is a direct swop. As for the rear shock, it can be done with some tricks here & there. Refer to below link:

I always refer to this forum when I hv some wild ideas to upgrade my 919. Hopefully, my project will turn into reality 1 day...hehehe. Huat ah!

Just gonna make sure the bore and width fit? Which year CBR600RR you looking at? Would it be cheaper than OE shock?

Yes, 919 front shock is damn soft there's one incident I go over the hump (*pretty high one) the fork dive in pretty deep... I search through Ohlin site they use to have some sort of spring for the fork, another method riders recommend a different grade fork oil... guess the oil in the fork been around for many donkey years.

F4i using USD fork or conventional cartridge type? How about CBR954RR fork? Should match the 919 pretty well in terms of weight... but our triple three clamp might not accomodate

130 for 1st hand shock? Mind ask who quote you the price?

The CBR600RR shock comes with HMAS (Honda Multi Action System) too?

I beg to differ, 05-06 cbr600rr rear shock will not fit on a hornet9 as the compression damping reservoir is located near the top mounting unlike ours which is remotely located & linked by a hydraulic hose(left side under the seat).

Anyway, I think my cam chain tensioner lifter is busted. Rattling chain sound can be heard when its engine is cold. Hopefully Eversuccess opens on Monday. Any of you guys changed it before & at what mileage? Mine has just reached 80k km mark, I guess its about time.

well.. after reading thru some specification details.. i doubt can fix also.. prolly monday i'll go down to unique to get the shock checked.. too soft a rear shock is scary when cornering. =x
