Hi Spectrum,

I guess some different people got different expectations for the bikes they want. Thats why even only $1000 difference only still wanna but the 600s...

Well, I dunno.

U are Absolutely Right...

:thumb: Go for the Bike of your Heart...:lovestruck:

There must be quite a few good reasons for the H6 to be so popular in Europe!

The Pic of the H6... It is One Good Looking BIKE!

Cooling System Hornet 250

The Engine Oil is the Media that carries the Heat from the Combustion Chambers

The Water Radiator Uses water with airflow to cool the oil.

In additon, a cooling fan comes on when the bike is stationary(not sure if H250 has it)

So The Oil & Water must flow freely to have Gd cooling.

Oil filter should be chg if suspect to clog up oil movement.

Have to also check the water flows smoothly thru the radiator.

:cheeky: (may need a new radiator if old one clogs up)

Maybe Mech can help.

& maybe install a fan if u don't have one.(check with motrax)

Price of New & 2nd Hand Hornet

Hornet 600F $16K(OTR) 1998 Model... $6K+

Hornet 900F $17K(OTR) 2002 Model... $12K+

A Lot depends on condition of 2nd bike...

We nomally post here on this thread if any of us hear of a new/used hornet around.

Go Pick one up... & come ride with Us... On a Sunny Day...

Since Hornet 900F cost just $1K more...

Shouldn't u consider the H9.

Have read a few foreign forum from guy doing a upgrade from H6 - H9...

They were most happy about it.

Hi Spectrum

Would u say H9 is definitely better than H6 if I were to pillion?

From the pics, the seat slopes downwards... (compared to my specII)...

does the pillion push up much against the rider?

Also, if anyone knows any 2nd hand around, either H6 or H9, can post please... I'm considering one after my test end of this mth. If no used one, maybe consider new. Thanks all.

Hi Maverick,

Coolant System

Under my seat there is a reserve tank.

U can check the coolant Level there.

Done at normal operating temperature.

Bike should be upright.

Top up coolant @ reserve tank cap not radiator cap.

Insufficent coolant would cause excessive temp.:thumb:

Will check up with the mec...

Any one can help... H250 riders.
