Mmmm....

"one guy behind me at a traffic light complain my exhaust too high and sexy. LOL. he squeeze my butt to me to tell me that. hahahah "

Whaa! Just out on the street & someone is already rubbing your butt.:giddy:

Better watch the rest of your body.....

Hey, just what did u guys do last nite... thought u just went JB for makan...

Price of New Hornet

The last quote I had from Mah, H9 is $17 OTR & H6 $OTR

(but as for insurance... I'm a little more than 24 lah...

Think after 30yr of age, insurance drops quite a lot.)

This is the 2002 Hornet 900F avail @ Pleasure Motors

Asking $9.3K Machine Price.

My observations: Scratch marks on both side of bike due low speed drop.

(Generally looks alright. Will look good as new with a new coat of paint.)

Test Ride around Inner road of Shop:

Does not feel as tight as mine(guess mine did not run the road so much)

Total Km: about 38000km against mine 11000km.

Go check it out.

There are 2 used hornet 250 @ mah. Silver & Black.

Guys! Any outings anytime soon (very soon?). Keen to find out more about this bike. Considering brand new '05 FZ6 (can't seem to find 2nd hand '03), Z750 (brand new ~FZ6 price but better specs and reviews), and either H6/9. Prefer a 2nd hand machine so would be great if you guys can tell me what to look out for and the market rate... Cheers!

U can compare the 2002 bike to this brand new one.

There are some scratches around the bike.

I didn't notice any major damage...

Motrax is more experience... notice the exhaust is not equal distance from body.

Could have rework the exhaust due a heavy drop(just guessing)

Two owners.

Dealer says last one is Ang Mor.(2 yrs 2 owners)

Eng does not feel as smooth as mine.

(Ravon & me are of the same opinion)

Price... Very Attractive.

Think the smoothness got to do with wear & tear. 39 000km.

If that's the case, who ever buys it may have to live with it.

$9.3K plus ins. & transfer would bring the OTR price closer to $10K+...

IF the eng can be tune to better cond. it would be gd...

U have to check with mech if that can be done.

To me, that would be one main factor for consideration...

THE ENGINE...

Hope that's helpful. Can chat over a teh tarik.

Next Mtg... 26th fri @ span with Blackbirds & Bandits.

Feel free to drop by for BBQ. $15 each. Pm Motrax33.

The Comparison for these BIKEs are Just Endless...

(different strength & weakness)

But I like the one given by BIKE Mag UK Sep 2004

They divided the bikes into a wider spectrum...

BEST OF THE BEST

(will produce what's reported)

Sports 600

Suzuki Gsx-R600*****

97bhp

Sublime handling & a sweet motor with a glorious induction howl add up to the all-round road & track business

Basic Middle Weight

Kawa Z750****

92bhp

Just like big brother, the zed packs attitude & poke into the funky package.

Big attitude for the smaller budget

Funky Street Bike

Kawa Z1000*****

116bhp

Big, naked attitude without the handling constaints of old-hat twin-shock design.

A great big grin of a roadbike.

Big Mile Tourer

Yamaha FJR1300 ABS****

121bhp

Beats the pricier tackle 'cos it's more useful more of the time,

faster, but just a s good at doing big distance.

Muscle Bike

Honda CB1300***

109bhp

Best of the naked twin-shock crop.

Smooth, torquey & reasonably comfy below 160kmh, with the best handling.

Very, very fast bike

Kawa Zx-12R****

165bhp

Want quick? with 165 horses this thing is the most powerful we've ever tested.

Schmooze the torque or go mental.

Stylish Street Bike

Honda Hornet 900****

101bhp

Soft & easy to ride, but delivers the kicks when you put the effort in.

Smooth, comfy & confidence-inspiring.

Sport Tourer

Yamaha Fazer 1000****

117bhp

Not classed as a sports tourer, but does the job better than most and is a great day-to-day bike with stacks of thrills.

Ultimate sportsbike

Yamaha R1*****

147bhp

Won the premier class of 2004 by blending reasonable comfort with a blinding engine & awesome handling.

The **** are the ratings. 5* is max.

Hope the above reports would help u select the bike most suitable to your needs.

Please bear in mind that this is one opinion of a mag.

(comparing the Fazer6 & Hornet6 would be similar to Fz1 & H9)

Different Mag would gives different reports as the writer see fit.

Enjoy yourself choosing your "Ultimate Bike"

then come join us for a ride & teh tarik.

Can someone drop some light on '98 CB600 and the latest '03 (or '04)? I did a search and seems like the new CB600s have a reshaped tank and 1L larger. Can't seem to tell which photo is '98 and which is newer. Anyone? Then the '00 onwards seem to be equipped with better brakes. Anyway new and blur I am.

Can someone helpful post the difference between the '98 model and the current latest? Any problems with the '98? What's the market rate for '98? What are the things to lookout for when checking the '98 model? I am quite likely to get a '98 model for a couple of years to save money before indulging in an updated machine. Thanks!

What is the petrol consumption for a '98 CB600? Are there any known nags/complaints/frequently breakdown parts/etc.? What's the reserve tank size? 16L can be a bother if the economy is low... Thanks!

old model and new model .. look carefully at the tail and exhaust. other cosmetics changes are the mirrors(old=round, new=like s4 mirrors) and a bigger tank for the new.

see image go to http://www.100percento.it/speciale_hornet2003.asp for more of the nude pics. just scroll down. the new one exhaust got no holes at the side.

i not riding a hornet6, but these r some of my opinions:

98 hornet6 sofar did not hear any problms.. 1 thing is tat the tank is 16l n i heard can only run to abt 220km.. correct me if i'm wrong.. tat is almost the same as me r1, considerin its 600. reserve tank i not sure.. didnt hear of any frequent breakdown parts..

the latest 2003 h6 had i headlight revamped (alot missed out ah..) which so called 70% brighter than the old. minior lik the tail light (sharper), the mirrors n 1l bigger thak.

these abt all i know.. correct me if i'm wrong..

jus some of my opinions.. :cheeky:

so.. hav u decide on which bike to buy..?

Hi Motrax33!

"Just read about the 747 mod in the thread"

What did you invest in to your bike this time?

Any links to tweaking this engine.

Like the e.g'Power Commander'???

Hi spectrum, Last Sat 3 of us went to jb just for the ride. Dinner was like pumping petrol into tank.

First stop was petronas :btw: it seems to have a better feel then the esso....

Then we headed for dinner at pasir gudang... quick bite chatted for a while..

We then took a ride to Kulai to pump V power at shell.... And headed back to s'pore. :thumb:

Weather was good and nice was smooth.... :shades:

Hope we can ride together soon....
