i heard each cdo intake for ATEC and LRRP depends on whether it is a poly intake or JC intake, y is this so?

Firstly, who here doesnt' keng?

 

and when we go brunei, we are still trainees. Trainees were somewhere below human and above dog in those days. Less luxury and sleep takes a strain on ur body.

having say that, even commandoes got e highest report sick rate, also like that

yes.. most NSF won't do it willingly.. but commandos are those even how shitty the work is, they will still do it.. That is the line that seperates everything.. they won't give up easily.. Cos there is pride and we won't let our buddy suffer alone..i think that why we are so closely knitted..

 

anyway as National Day draw closer, just a recap for those who fought ATEC 01 in Thailand.. Guess Whose line is it??

Isn't it a fact? At the NSF level, the attrition rate is almost 50%! 200 come in as recruits, only 80+ pass out a year later. And these 200 were already screened before coming in!

 

Granted we may not have the very best in every aspect in the army. (I dun think any cdo can dig a trench properly, neither can we march properly, nor do drill properly), but wat we are trained to do, we excel in.

 

ATEC is a good example of this. It gauges each unit on it's battle-worthiness and their ability to carry out their wartime duties. The ATEC history and current record speaks for itself.

 

 

So it's not that we are hao lian or wat but like they say, if the shoe fits, wear it! N i am demm proud to wear this shoe!!

WY 2000 1st Coy batch 250+ went in day one. 10 mths later, it was ard 110 to 130 standing at the parade square.

 

yes u are rite, cdos cant even get a foxhole rite.. let alone a trench

 

perhaps oni the lrrpies can smell the word " DIG "

imagine if the world knows that our commandos are actually like normal soldiers. what do u think will happen?

I have no hard feelings against comandos but this is a fact which i face. I was from 3rd guards. We achieve redcon 1 for atec. we should be best combat. but what happens is. they try to find things which make us lose, that is our inventory. so here it is, is best combat all about fighting capability or about inventory?

tat happened during the 2001/02 ATEC for cdo also mah... get redcon 1 for the bn but also din get BCU..

redcon 1 is redcon 1. BCU is BCU.

 

redcon status is only a subset in the calculation for BCU scores. it holds one of the highest portion in all the areas of consideration, but not EVERYTHING.

other contributions can come from areas u and I dun even bother abt.

 

WITS projects, USMSes, yes they make a diff to the BCU score albeit the small degree of significance.

 

redcon assessment is not based on unit-to-unit comparison, or formation-to-formation comparison. no empire / assessor will assess a unit based on comparisons of units. they are SUPPOSED to follow a set of points allocation ( or rather deduction will make calculation easier ) which is EXCLUSIVE to each and every unit. of cos we cannot deny that how leniency of the empire is subjective to individuals.

 

hence whether a unit do well in the redcon assessment is based on " how comprehensively " they fulfill the " NATURE of their OWN vocation ".

new toilets?! damn.. so the new recruits wont get to see the yellow urine stains and sh*t smears on the toilet bowls lar.. kekekke... hai... the good old memories... queing up for a sh*t early in the morning before fall in... whooooo... where would ya ge that in civilian life eh?

 

bcu or not.. doesn't matter.. we know we dun wear the red cloth jus for some show and act.. all i know is not every unit gets the motto... "For Honour and Glory"

Attended NDP yesterday coz my brother gt tix. Wah... saw the GOH coming in i almost wanna cry. The memories all came flooding back.

 

The CDOs rapelling down the towers demm action siah! hahaha... but it was a refreshing change. The roping down was ok lah... nothing fantastic about roping down, as all you ppl who have done it can attest.
