I tried it again this afternoon. I could comfortably maintain without any jerk. Suggest to bring it for a check up. Maybe shaft oil insufficient or what, who knows? Btw, mine is an auto.

Just done basic engine oil changing at Looi's since couldn't book an appointment with Meng Tong while need to travel to Seremban at Saturday.

Used Maxima Fully Synthetic Oil since not much choice there and will look for Meng Tong at the next oil change.

Did google and consulted some technicians, the metal knock sound from shaft area "Tak... Dak..." when off throttle and on back is normal which it is a shaft driven bike's characteristic... =_+

Mine one is a manual. ^_^

Got rode it at town area for 2 days at low speed and need to control the clutch well to minimize the shaft sound till almost left hand cramping. Consulted and checked at workshop, it's normal sound for V4 engine plus shaft drive bike.

Happy Thursday.

Just done my 20k mileage service by Meng Tong at this Monday.

It's terrible experience to me.

Both fairing didn't installed properly.

Lower cowl, washers almost all missing.

Inner lower cowl, 2 special screw (5X11) missing and replaced by those normal cross screw.

Tank cover didn't installed properly too.

Bought a COX radiator guard and asked Meng Tong help me to install it as well, after checking by myself and found that didn't follow the installation manual and caused brake hose touching with the guard.

So far these are what I can check and see for outside, those that inside cover...

Really disappointed me... What's a nightmare to me...

Today need to purposely take leave and go there again to settle it...

Took half day leave and went there guided him to remove and install back both fairing.

At the end, I myself remove it and re-installl it one more time at home because got one clip didn't clip in.

Well, I'm thinking to buy a new set of tools and repair it myself for those simple service next time.

@jansennlee i prefer to get it from direct owner. I cant access the link. Is it from direct owner or shop?

I bought my bike from a direct owner which after one year plus of his advertisement at internet.

During that time I did a lot of survey and viewed more than 5 VFRs from direct owner and shop…

A lot of owner also tried to sell it personally and mostly ended up with sold to bike shop instead because unable to sell it even one year after.

Check your PM. Try to contact that owner and check whether his unit still available or not.

hard to come across an ad (from a private seller) looking to sell this bike.

VFR1200F population in Singapore must be very very small.

Yes. Only a few owners.

Happy National Day !!!!

Hi there,

I'm new owner of VFR1200F DCT (1st Generation),

Would like to check and get some advice: 1. If anyone have done the DCT upgrade to the 2nd gen, notice on my VFR 'the D drive' too fast change the gear, understanding from honda website, the 2nd Generation much better shift points depending on an rider’s inputs and riding style.

2. Feel some vibration on the back of the tank (after 4K rpm), can this be solve (?).

Many Thanks.
