not really, end of the day, still depends on which unit u posted to after BMT. and to ans ur question on Pes c, it depends on your vocation. i am pes c but 6 mths after BMT, i promoted to CPL, and after that promoted to 3rd sg less than 1 yr.

Your NS was quite some time ago, was it? Nowadays even for vocations that used to be promoted fast, it might take longer. The NSFs in my unit used to be promoted to CPL after their specialisation course, now they will only be promoted to LCP some time after the course. I'm not sure how long it takes nowadays though.

Seriously things have changed quite alot now from the past... say 10 years ago.. when NS pay is acutally nothing much... 2 3 hundred dollars... Back then people go to NS not talking about how much pay they get at the end of month... but rather its an obligation to provide a service to the nation by learning how to protect the country when war. But now.. when money seem to be all that matters.. i think many would not seriously see NS as something important as the time could be better spent on studying or working... Personally my NS time was a very eventful phase of my life... and i can say i learnt alot from it. So much things that i had done which i cannot have done otherwise in my civilian life. What i can say is... look forward to NS... do the best you can... enjoy the process... and you will remember it for the rest of your life... i think some may not agree with me here... haha... but its ok..

Yes, Thrasher is absolutely correct. Got my cl3&4 from SAF. As for class 2, I was already riding a super4 before I even enlisted.. so do the maths lol.

There are only two vocations that has their personnels ride bikes. MPs and Recce troopers. MPs ride on VFR800s and recce troopers on a 125cc yamaha dirtbike. I am guessing the MPs get to ORD with cl2..
