Which scooter is the best buy in SG?

Hi all,i am very new in scooters and is interested of getting one,btw i have not ride any scooter in my 30yrs of biking.I hope anyone can recommend me a good and less troublesome one,caz i am too lazy to go to workshop>Runner 200,SW400/600,TMax500 or any other brands which is more reliable,thanks:cool:

I tink Honda sw n yamaha tmax will get the votes. If u hv the budget, go for tmax.

haha buy bike cannot lazy one le. Cos everyone has different preference for bikes/scooters.

For example, some prefers Vespa over MaxiScooter. In my case i'll look at 3 things

 

Performance

Storage

Looks

 

My preference of Scooter is SilverWing.

 

Join the guys here when they have outing and look at the bike in real. lol

What is your budget and intended purpose? Touring or commuting in SG?

I think he is seeking for scooters that last long and has better reliability compared to the rest. I second Silverwing.

Tmax has limited storage but agility of this beast is unbeatable.

Seating posture i would say depends on individual. Comfortable but not as comfy as the Swing.

 

FYI- SW-T400 is the only 2A 400cc scooter that uses Twin

I heard the T-Max have problems in getting spares,even HL can't promise,this beast pick-up is good compared to SW-T400 which is slower but going long journey SW-T400 is more comfy.....SW is 50kg heavier than T-Max!

Yeah my friend had an accident with his tmax and the bike was lying in the bike shop for 2 months still counting due to a lack of spares in SG and had to be brought in from overseas.

My super rare bike 1992 yamaha seca2 send to HL for repair.....not a single engine parts in their store....They order for me from Japan + repair & take only 2 weeks.....

Ya ... need to be fair to HL & Yamaha. I needed some accessories. They told me a month .. but came in slightly more than a week!

one thing about HL......For spare parts & repair...they like to quota u high high price n tell u take long long time to arrival or repair. But if u agree...They will finish the job b4 time & price below they quota????????
