i saw ALOT of scenery of high beam from oncoming traffic lor, plus a quite a few nice view of trailer backside

 

really had alot of time to admire the trailer backside

hi everybody!

 

i'm new to this board but been a while in r1-forum.com.. bought my 04 R1 in USA and bring it with me back to Malaysia..

 

i don't know if it is proper to ask questions about maintenance in this thread, but i couldn't find a better place to do so..

from the informations that i've collected and based on my experience, i guess my r1 has the throttle position sensor (TPS) problem, as most of 04/05 r1 do.. same symptoms: sputter and stall for no reason..

 

there is a recall made by Yamaha USA, but are they providing the same solution to SG R1s? if they do, how many of you guys have your r1 fixed and where? any help is greatly appreciated! thanks!!!

Recall was made by Singapore Yamaha distributor, Hong Leong and a number of the riders here sent their bikes there to rectify the TPS problem...

hmm tat's true, e amt of petrol vs the 60 bucks plus knowing e hp of ur bike is actually not a bad thing.
