You not only need to change the endcans, but the Y-pipe as well.

The heat dissipation comes from the Y-pipe mostly. Or you can de-cat your stock Y-pipe.

Yeah Bro Espy is correct ...

The honey comb(catalyzer) will "trap" the exhaust gas first to convert them

into less harmful fumes, causing a lot of heat to be radiated out from there...The cat, exup valve and 'channel block' in the stock exhaust slowed down the flowing out of exhaust gas from the end can outlet , the Y pipe where the cat is placed just under rider's seat contributed more heat sensation to the rider's balls..

Above explained shud be correct bah, otherwise kind correction is greatly appreciated.

Anyone can give an absolute answer to why there is a flatspot at the midrange ?

Due to ram-air inefficiency ? Or due to the cat in the Y pipe ? I have heard from

a friend(ex 05R1 rider) that installing factory-pro v-stack , M4 full system* , PC3 & BMC airfilters can help smoothen the power dip ... Not sure how true it is but I can

only say that his ex-bike is really fast !!!

*not neccessary must be M4 , the bike also fitted with hi-comp gasket.

:cheeky: just a 2 cents of dun know right or wrong knowledge :cheeky:

Let the good times roll .

PC3 mapping can overwrite/block stock ECU's mapping but according to most

of the people who install PC3 - it cannot solve the flatspot problem.

Xniner u got PC3 and arrow full system mah ... can upload here your dynograph

for us to analyse ?

1. yoshi - legal version doesn't sound good,top-end power gain not much

or dun gain at all but slightly a bit more back-pressure due to the

small inner passage of end-can. No baffle fitted even for street

legal type.

2. akraprovic - more top-end power gain but legal only with baffle on.

3. arrow - more top-end power gain but legal only with baffle on.

4. 2bros - 2Bros have no street legal pipes for S'pore use at all

5. stock - better low-end torque but slightly hotter to cook your balls faster...
