Any reliable source to support your statement??

You can always go and ask the owners of Gerry Looi and BikeTech21 for their opinion, they both ride the G1k5/k6.

So you have any reliable source to support your statement that 15W50 is the best and that 10W40 will cause clutch slip on all G1k5/6? Or is that just a sign of a shagged clutch from wheelies :p

There's a big unknown of what 'dry and rough' means. Also, we really need to know what grade you have been running (10W40 or 15W50 Extra) you have been running, they are a world apart in viscosity and hence, your perception of the bike's performance. Best that you can give these details.

In general, the late model gsxr owners are all very happy with Ultra 5W50 as it works great all around. Ultra only cost $5 more than the Extra Package at Motoworld. In general, the Extra 10W40 is too thin (it just made that way to suit a certain preference) for extended traffic jams. But again, it depends alot on the bike in question, the newer bikes do very well on the 10W40 even for commute, relatively speaking.

Of course, your own preference may not be the same as the general concensus, that's why it is important to know what grade you're putting in your bike now to make an educated suggestion of what may suit you better. In the end, it is not about who's opinion is 'right' (by the very virtue of being an opinion, there's no right or wrong), it is about understanding your current needs and giving you what u want.

Guys, I just notice something impt ! Slipper clutch problem. If u always do the high speed den drop few gears frequently, u will damage your clutch plate. The repair cost is roughly 200 - 300 SGD. Shiong leh , technology getting better but if u wanna use it den u pay alot more lor. haha

I didt say that 15W50 is the best lei, i say i recommend any fully sys EO that is rating is at 10W50 lei for the 1000. Read my post.

Cos you say you did resreach mah.

"The Extra 15W50 is too thick for the new gsxrs with slipper clutch. The Extra 10W40 is rather thin for extended commuting in traffic jam. After lots of playing around with various combination including mixing to get the customised viscosity, we found that the Ultra 5W50 works great out of the bottle in the slipper clutch models for both tracking/extended full throttle NSHW wacking/slow traffic riding."

where you did your various combination?? And you say it too thick for the new gsxrs with slipper clutch, but you didt state it for the 1000 or 750 or 600.

i object cos i use 15W50, and i find it ok and good for my clutch.

Nope, you need the cert. Anyway if he lost it, he can go back to that exhuast dealer and ask for a copy of that cert.

But just to ask, the Ebay seller is local or oversea. cos some oversea country, to let their exhasut pass inspection ,they only need to put a silencer and as long as the sound level is within limit it will pass, unlike SG, even if sound level within limit, but no cert = no pass , fine $500
