Hi,

I usually wash my bike @ SPC Woodlands - but there're a myriad of options - depending on your location. See link for details.

About the squeaking sound, refer to this:

Funny that you asked - i just saw that thread 2 days ago.

in their generation, big cc = 400

the very high profile bike then was the Norton Commander, the cc also abt 400, the price also abt there, their memories of big cc bike is still register with the famous NC back then. probably 20-30 yrs later, our memories will only be R1, 1000cc, $24k. maybe by then big cc = 1500cc, price $40k? times change...

"Norton is a British motorcycle marque from Birmingham, founded in 1898.

By 1902 they had begun manufacturing motorcycles with bought-in engines. In 1908 a Norton built engine was added to the range. This began a long series of production of single cylinder motorcycles. They were one of the great names of the British motorcycle industry, producing machines which for decades dominated racing with highly tuned single cylinder engines under the Race Shop supremo Joe Craig.

Postwar a twin cylinder model was added to the range for 1949, and this evolved into the 1970s through 500 cc to 600 cc to 650 cc to 750 cc to 850 cc models with the Dominator, 650, Atlas and Commando, all highly regarded road motorcycles of their time."

In my case, these comments came from the guy who inspected my bike at JIC Ang Mo Kio...

Inspector : Wah, your bike if go for touring should be very shiok.

Me : Not really. Long distance and will suffer backache if ride for too long.

Inspector : For touring GSR and S4 are very good bikes.

Me : Is it?

He then went to my bike's tail lights and saw my sticker, 'Hero Kampongz Aie', pasted near the rear seat.

Inspector : Wah, this Hero Kampongz Aie is a famous racer.

Me : Is it?

Inspector : Ya. MotoGP champion dunno how many times liao. You his fan ah?

Me : (lazy to talk much so just say, Ya...) :slapforehead: :faint:

new models of bikes usually arrive at the end of the year.

In the case of the 07, too many pple ordered liao. Hence the 2nd n 3rd batch that came in much later.

Basically those that paid first-batch price, but got theirs only 2nd or 3rd batch (march-may), got royally screwed :p

yah lor..

but according to him, the 08's in already man..

means depreciation going down quicker and earlier by 2-3 months..
