Hi fellow Gixer,

I hv just bought a K4 750. The engine make a lot of noise when it is idling. The noise goes off when the clutch lever is pulled. I was told this is common. May I know is it true? If not what can I do abt it, where can I get it done and how much will it cost? Thanks

Regards

Nic

Why change the master pump?

09 R1 is using brembo master pump.

Personally, I have no beef with R1's original brakes. They are good enough for me. :)

As stated by hellsfury already, the difference between OEM and aftermarket brembos is the port size. Bigger = more bite.

EBC pads may yield nominally better bite, while steel-braided hoses last better in constant heat conditions (circuit-riding).

Since corse finds his R1's OEM brembos to be lacking, I suggested that he go straight for an aftermarket master pump, which should satisfy his braking needs immediately,

Rather than take the slow route of changing pads and lines, capiche? :)

In short, Nissan sunny is a car, Nissan skyline also car

you got your new ride already?? since the blokes are asking someone to organise...maybe we both can co-organise since we both are talking about the same place.

Yup.. Got it already.. Wanna organize to go Desaru? It's quite a distance.. Got to go during the shop's operating hours.. It will be kind of a half-day trip or something.. Inclusive of the makan and chit chat..

Kawasaki KRR ZX150

Suzuki GSXR400 RR

Honda CBR400 RRR Fireblade

Yamaha YZF R1.. no more.. :-(

I would say, just whack the brakelines too la while you're at it. Doesn't hurt to have less brake fade too since you're going for the braking power.

Mr Corse came off a Duckie 999. So he probably got used to the better hardware there.

Well, corse said he does not want to spend much.. Brembo rcs $500 (switchable 19 x 18/20) , Brembo normal m/c ($380), brakelines ($150), Pads ($90-$120)

i would go for brembo normal m/c 19 x 18 and brake lines.. Stocks pads r gd enuff

Now u decide...

Exactly why I suggested he go straight for a shiny aftermarket master pump :D

Why change the master pump?

cause the OEM brembo isnt that good as aftermarket ones .... well like what some of them suggested, aftermarket ones REALLY make a difference. Get the 19 x 20 ones that will be a hell of a braking power :thumb:

What say u

some stuff about brembo: getting a 19 RCS is not a must, if you already know what function you want out of your bike. They recommended 18X20 for race use(motogp uses the same 1), but 19X20 for normal street usage. If you already know what you want, you could save $$

yes agreed 19x20 is good enough for road and occasionally fun at track.

unless u are really into track, then get a 18x20 one :)

What say u
