some have try b4 but no guarantee but i wont recommend. since u already know theres problem with ur tire how can u ride with ease on track when the tire is going to be so much hotter then riding on normal road.

rather dun risk it. so ex to fall on track leh

now i see why track is expensive..

i rode for barely 45min n can see the tyre material getting scrubbed already..

those more serious trackers confirm need to spend lotsa $$ replacing tyres!

muzz infd me that all the compounds are available.... my bro jus bought for his R6 already.. I spoke to Rain K8, he said this tyre is gd for track use but for road use not worth the money.. cos of the wear n tear..

Ya... Rain is right. Currently the tire you are using is Compound A for the front and B for the rear so the wear and tear is obviously higher than any other road tire.

If it is the V Compound, i think You can change every 3-4 months.

AFR = Air Fuel Ratio. basically means ratio of air that burn with the fuel in ur engine combustion chamber.

It is normally measured using an O2 sensor at ur y pipe. how much O2 that is left unburnt being tabulated to determine ur AFR.

easiest to check is to dyno, or to spend some money to get a AFR meter. Car seems to be easier they have AFR gauges that can be installed permanently. BUt i cant seem to find a bike specific AFR gauge, only to manage to find PC has a add on gadget that can sense AFR. but to use tat u need to have PC.

hey khuboy . the pc u refering is power commander? thn plug into my laptop and look at fuel change?

DUN RACE WITH TIME...

Noted... maybe my next tire change will be k3.. Rain recommended me those.. i think i try it beginning of next year.

yes u r rite, if u r using power commander, u plug in laptop u can see that it can monitor AFR. but the prob is u need to buy the add on sensor n install it, otherwise it wont have any reading with jus PC alone.

and by the way for all K9 1000 riders info, AFR for our bike seems to be better below 13.0. Was dynotuned to 13.0, but i still feel its lean especially when accelerating. So i jus added 2% more fuel to 2000rpm to 6000rpm for 2,5,10,15,20% throttle position to test it out. It seems to be accelerate stronger, n rich symptoms yet to be felt.

I will be adding 1% increment till i start to feel richness in my upcoming tuning sessions. Once have achieve the perfect feel, i will try get a AFR meter to see wats the ideal AFR for K9 1000.

FYI my throttle positions normally range from 2% to 15% for street riding.

Another alternative is Corsa 3...Good for street riding as well.

Hey all o.O

im currently taking my class 2 and upon passing most probably getting a gsxr 1000 k9. But id like to know is there a street legal version of a 4-2-1 exhaust system for it ? the stock pipes looks horrid n so do the aftermarket dual pipe versions :/

http://www.akrapovic.com/typo3conf/ext/user_products/mod1/uploads/products/slip_on_single_exhaust_system_open_for_the_suzuki_gsx_r_1000_2009_2010_/f0f9898ebbe1cdb7020c42ce2a6499ce.jpg

an akra or yoshi 4-2-1 would make the bike actually look a lot nicer and perform a lot better .... but to always be worried that its not street legal is another issue i dont want to be thinking of.

Uhm yea and whats the deal with shops claiming to sell gsxr1000 k10 ?

aint the bike exactly the same as a k9 1000 ? no upgrades what so ever :dot:

for the k7-k8 there is only one single-side fullsystem and slip-on that are approved and that is leo vince. for the k9-k10 i heard it is very difficult to pass any fs into the market. my guess is for fs there might just be none. for slip-on u can try check with leo vince if the k9 has approved single side. so far they only put up a thread for the dual gp-pro for the k9.

cos in US due to overstock they dun bring in k10. in sg perhaps they did. the difference is, if i'm u i'd take the k10 even tho there's no difference with regards to k9, but in terms of value wise, k10 will fetch slightly higher than k9 if to be sold/trade off due to year model versus age.
