Hi all, asking on behalf of my friend.

 

He is riding a GSXR 600 k5

 

Recently his display is showing FI indication with red light on top.

 

Any idea what is wrong and how will it cost to fix it?

Tycoon u need to go shop and check ur FI by bypassing two wire under ur seat and it will show whats the problem

Thanks for the help. Where do you guys usually go to service your bike? So bike shop don't do big bikes one.

Location of dealer mode switch and how to get the codes.

 

The dealer mode connector is under the tail cowling on the left side of the bike, near the regulator/rectifier. It will have only two wires going to it. It is is small white connector that does not plug into anything, and has a rubber cap on one end.

 

BLACK W/ GREEN BAND Wire with a WHITE STRIPE and a

WHITE W/ GREEN BAND Wire with a RED STRIPE

you just use a paper clip to jump the two wires together in the connector. this is for models with 16 bit ECM's

Means there is something wrong with the secondary throttle valve actuator?

 

What is the purpose of the valve actuator and how much does it cost to get it replace?

Valve actuator is a form of butterfly wing on ur throttle body it will open and close when u rev and close throttle if its a problem bring to shop it gonna cost some bucks not cheap thou price wise forget liao but do survey few shops if can check throughly again u might be wrong bro

the bike will function in safety mode unless the problem is solved, safety mode; bike will run rich

Mine i did at rosli at autobay its a malay shop before the suzuki maintenance shop he charge quite cheap though anyway any gixxers rider into touring i maybe planning to organise a ride up to hatyai or phuket maybe this coming april anyone interested???

wanna sell my EBC EPFA front brake pads(for two front caliper) and EBC HH rear brake pad(For one rear caliper) for $100 , pads still have around 70% can use.

 

GSXR600 K8/9 stock caliper can use.
