ppl, got time go have a look at PERFORMANCE BIKES magazine...

 

They got 17pg article dedicated to R1... Plus a 98' R1 which generate 158hp at REARWHEEL, not crank!!

if you buy a brand new damper. OEM mount for 2004 to 2006 YZF R1s.

 

The damper should already come with the bracket for the standard mount.

Unless you're going for tank-mount damper.

you still need a bracket to clamp the damper and fixed it to the head's frame (same location as the oem damper)

but cheaper than top mount bracket..

call sporting motors can ask..

it's the diameter of the mid section of the pipe tat is linking to the endcan, tat's different.
