PSP vs Nitendo DS

i thinking of buying Sony PSP or Nitendo DS.

 

Coz i went to few shop asking abt this 2 console~ all give diffirent comment abt this...

 

So i need advise from those who own this 2 type of console...

Buy PSP for better graphic, dsl for fun unique gameplay. Read gamespot and ign game reviews on the games you like before deciding on the system.

Basically the versions are a kind of security feature against piracy... newest original games can only be played on the latest version and etc etc.

 

And sometimes they will include some improvements or new functions with each version update.

Just keep to original to avoid damaging (brinking) your PSP, furthermore the latest revised hardware on PSP can't be downgraded.

does both of the game system sell pirate games or device to download games inside & play? just like gameboy has this thing can FLASH2ADVANCE cartridge where u can download games from internet into it & play

no need buy the game cartridges so expensive

Huh? Your newest version PSP can play all games... and updating the PSP is simple and free. So I don't see the confusion part. Only becomes complicated if you want to play pirated games....

If I had a choice, I would pick the PSP.

 

(that is, if the Nintendo DS can do music, pictures, movies too)

 

P.S.: Can the DS do that?

DS can do that video/music/piracy with third-party add-on. PSP more suited for portable movie as for music a Music Hand Phone/MP3 player does it better. Too bulky to carry a PSP solely for music.

 

I think both PSP and DS are great for question which game you want to play.

 

DS for nintendo fanchise and growing third parties support etc squaresoft, Dragon Quest serie coming to DS exclusively. No to mention its cheap

 

Most gamers except hardcore fan would end up getting both as their gameplay is different. PSP is a mini PS2 and plays like one. DS stand for Developer System, nintendo experitametal system that is surprising successful. Everyone including myself thought it would flop with minic like touchscreen, microphone. two screen..... too alien... That why i wait for a year before getting one. Anyway, that's history its now the best selling console comparable to PS2. 22 million DS sold in 2 years which explain the growing third party support.

 

Finally comment, casual gamer that had movie/mp3 playback in mind should just buy PSP, good buy compare to dedicate video portable just remember that you need to put an extra $120 for memorystick. Which work out to be around

Me and wife got an NDS(Black Graphite) & NDSL(White) each..very interactive touch screen games,over 900++ games to download legally online too. Just need a third party card like the R4/Supercard/Superkey plus the Micro SD(up to 4gb supported) and you can start downloading not only the huge selection of games but also music and movies into the NDS/NDSL.

 

Im using the NDS coz the volume is louder than the NDSL which my wife prefers due to smaller size. Alot of hop on accessories and very addictive. No worries about bricking(PSP) or no need to flash the set either. I recommend you get the R4 CARD + 2gb Micro SD and...VOILA! Play like there is no tomorrow dude!

Yeah, just like u i was choosing between the 2 consoles.

Finaly i decided against the PSP and bought a DS lite.

Maybe because my first console was the first generation gameboy.. The dot matrix brick like console.

somemore, i feel that the games for the DS are more skewed towards the fun side. and it looks less fragile than the PSP.

And no versions to worry about!

PSP

pros: more games, better graphics, more cool looking..

cons: damn exp!!, very confusing to play home brew games, possible to brick it..

 

NDSL

pros: cheaper, fun and interactive games. can play wifi..

cons: kiddy looking... haha..

Chepaest NDSL i found was $235 for US set. warranty by the shop.

Shop is quite well known. so i guess theres no worries, anyway, local set waranty is 3 months?

I was quoted $245 for a set with local warranty, they say its 3 months warranty also.

I bought the US set for $235 and the shop gave me 3 months warranty also. so i saved $10
