hey people~

 

i was wondering, what can we do when we spot potential road hazards like sand, gravel or oil. who are the relevent authorities to call ? i'm sure if we all play our part we can make the roads a safer place. cheers ! :thumb:

i did some asking around n finally found some ans. we can call the traffic police at 65476005/6/7/8/9 (24hrs) to report any road hazards. they will send ppl to check and call up the proper resource to clear the road hazard.

 

everyone pls save the hotline number to call whenever you spot any road hazards. we shld all play our part in keeping the roads safe. :thumb:

Maybe.. Sud inform them.. Got one big plank at tpe lane 1.. Potential skidding area..

for one, i tot u were referring to "moving hazard"

such as cars that cannot go zig zag on a straight,

or

drivers whose one hand in holding his mobile, the other digging his nose

or

riders who ride as if the road is pasir gudang

PROBLEM is not serious, if it can be solved with MONEY ... the PROBLEM comes when you have NO MONEY

but to TS, thanks for the effort and initiative, will support your efforts by calling should i spot any hazards

thanks everyone~! btw i gave the number to my neighbour n on his way back from school he spotted a rolled up mattress on the PIE (somewhr ard jalan bahar) and he called.

Every lampost is marked by a lampost number. When calling to report hazards otr, quote the nearst lampost number and LTA or TP will be able to get a fix on the location. Alternatively, junctions of xxx road and xxy road will suffice, or just before xxx exit on CTE/TPE will do too. They usually get the hazard out of the way very quickly. Pot holes, debris, fallen trees and faulty lamps or traffic lights. If its a tua zhong case, u may get a courtesy call after they get rid of the crap. Usually they don't, though.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

great add-on Pplater.. yes its important to be accurate when describing the location of the hazard.. and if u have to stop to make a phonecall be sure its a safe spot to park
