Congrats to DRK and Edwin on winning the 1st and 2nd prize.

The turn out was great! Thanks to all the old timers who turn up and assisted to make the gathering a blast.

New friends that we made today are the benefits for the meet up.

The next scooter meet up will be in April. Most likely will be organizing a BBQ!

It was indeed a nice outing with many friendly guys and gals. As a newbie to biking, I got some very good advices from the experienced bros there, :thumb:. I was also introduced to a very good mechanic, Ah Chong from AC Motor.

I went to see Ah Chong today and I must say I'm impressed with his skills and knowledge. His colleague and friend there is also just as good and with very positive work attitude too. I learned a lot by watching them fix my bike and I know my bike is in good hands. Good mechanics are really much appreciated.

Back to topic, of-cos I was impressed with so many big bikes and my little 2B scooter look so tiny in comparison. But it really doesn't matter cause everyone is so fun and helpful.

Special thanks to Elton for organizing this event. Looking forward to the next outing and meeting all you fun and funny guys (and gals) again :cheeky:

IMO, there is no & there shud not be a difference between us bikers, regardless u r riding big or small bikes, chinese or not, rich or poor. we bikers shud help & care for each other. dun feel inferior for riding a small scooter. we were once a p-plater too, rite?

enjoy your stay in SBF

Glad you enjoy the company lol it was nice seeing you we are more than welcome to see you joining us for our outings in future.

Most of the scooters shop in singapore are reliable just some to name, Future, sunrise, taihin, wonderful, AC motor and these are just one of the few shops that i know that specialise in scooters.

Of course most shops will be able to repair and service scooters just that you might wanna see which one of the shops you are more comfortable with.

Some of the members here have good knowledge of bikes and some i might say are as good as the mechanics haha.

So have fun with your bike and learn to get accustom the the scooter riding style and you won't go wrong.

The forum is always open to questions and i'm sure the members and friends here will be more than willing to help you.

When in doubt, go for a 2nd opinion, that's the best way.

cheers

hi all, juz in case some bros here did not catch my post in the other thread, i'll "pasted" it here for info too.

hi guys, juz FYI, my sw is having a week's "hotel stay" at ah choong's shop.

i left it there, partly as a guinea pig, for light-guard aka headlight protector sample, & oso for full set of steel-braided brake hose sample.

so after mine is done, any bros here can hav a faster order/purchase at his place for the 2 items mentioned above w/o leaving your ride there. :thumb:

note: i nvr dismantle any of my bike's engine b4.

Anyway, we have a facebook group for scooters.

I idea of having a facebook group is to ease ourselves into reaching out to riders when there are events, good deals, promotions and meet ups in SBF.

Further to that we can add photos of group meet up. So the next scooter outing, remember to bring your camera ya? lol

This is the link to the facebook page.
