Went to view the new R1200RT today, very nice bike! Much nicer than the STX, FJR and dare I say, Goldwing. Really simple yet sophisicated cockpit.

The bike is alittle tall though, even for my 181cm height. I think I'd need the lower seat option.

HI Guys,

I've got some questions concerning the BMW handlebar grips.

1) Where else are these sold besides PML and how much does a pair cost?

2) I was thinking of fitting them on my scooter,or will they fix on non-BMW bikes? Has anyone done that? Also is the diameter dimension similar to generic grips sold on the market?

Thanks.

Very bored in office, KP, KP here, is this yrs?

The 9,000 kilometres of the Paris-Dakar proved it: this is a jacket that is ready for anything. The super-tough Cordura® 500 fabric is reinforced at potential accident points. Integrated reflective material front and back improve visibility. Removable CE protectors at the shoulders and elbows, plus a pocket for a back protector, provide additional safety. The Rallye jacket has an ingenious ventilation system in the sleeves, front section and back. Start numbers, or maps, slip easily into special pockets at the front or back. The clever Trinkbak can be retrofitted for a direct drink supply. A breathable, waterproof zip-in Venturi insert is also available

yes, has been thinking of getting all 3 but human changes easily, now thinking of buying those futuristic bicycles I posted earlier and give up riding motorcycle.

I used to dream of owning all BMW bikes, now realised that I am too poor to fullfil my dream, give up liao .... :dozed:

Ya, saw a Mystic Red K1100RS this morning, number plate F68, wow, was attracted to the number plate and not the bike, 5yrs ago will be the other way round. See, people change.

:cheeky:

This is my personal opinion : - BMW bikes really stands up among other bikes, went to bike shop last Sat with Mr Suzu, saw 2 GS 1100 & 1150 sitting behing other newer bikes, I realised that BMW bikes are really "outstanding", they can be spotted easily when parked among others.

Saw a R1100S parked with other bikes, it may be an aging model but you can still spot it easily, thanks to it's unique design.
