The more I think about it, the more I feel something is wrong.

I had my bike for more than a month, went all the way to Endau once, went to KL twice, no problem at all. Sent in for servicing, two days later brake hose burst. It was something they dismantled while servicing my brake master pump. So how can they have got nothing to do with it? Beginning to sound like negligence on their part.... If only we have some sort of independent 3rd-party assessment... something like if you're sick, u go to another doctor for 2nd opinion....

Did they worked on the area where the damaged to the brake hose was found? Hmmm....thats not good....stuff like these don't just burst. Usually there's a little ballooning. A good mechanic should be able to pick it up and pre-emp a failure. Did the damaged occured right at the collar or at the union, then your suspecions might be justified.

I think we all have to check our bike throughtly after servicing, sometimes things get left out unintentionally even by the most experienced mechanic. I'll share some stories with you guys when we meet up. As a rule of thumb, I don't go for long trip just after servicing, will ride the bike around for a while just to make sure, listen out for strange noise and stuff, gotta be careful man. :thumb:

Guys, there is SOME hope for PML.

On Mon nite, I couldn't sleep. So I wrote one long email using the feedback section on their website, telling them what happened. I wasn't pointing fingers, I was tactful, I wasn't emotional. I told them what I think is fair for me after what happened - check/review the repair work done on my bike.

No reply yesterday. This morning, someone from PML called. He wants to let me know they've gotten my ... 'feedback'. Kris & the Mgr for motorcycle section wasn't around (on urgent leave), so they couldn't get back to me yesterday. Basically he just want to ask me to give them more time. I think, so they can get their own guy's side of the story. That's fair. I emphasized again I don't want to blame anybody. I'm fully aware of the risk of getting a used bike. I just want the work on my bike reviewed by someone else, preferable someone more experienced. I don't expect them to dismantle everything else and make sure they work in tip-top condition. He said he understands how I feel, he understands where I'm coming from (prob standard answers when handling a 'feedback'). But anyway, I feel much better now that I know someone from PML does care enough to get back to me.

I will update you guys when this whole matter is resolved. Think will be very useful and informative for all other BMW bike owners out there in SG.

Eh Koma, throughout your posts you kept on mentioning your mechs. Which mechs from which workshop? Are they any good? Good mechanics and workshop, must share with us here. So that we can have possible alternatives to PML.

Cyclop, I'm interested, tentatively. But my bike is still at PML. Dunno can make it or not.

pinglong look for alex at stamford motors at ang mo kio autopoint in amk industrial park 2 on the 5th floor saw row of shops as sengkuang(make metalworks 1). alex is the boss...the chief mechanic...the 1 man show at his shop so u cant miss him :p he is veri gd with bmws n his worksmanship is gd though he tends to be slow n draggy in his work(well cannot compromise quality rite ;)) but when he is fast u be amazed at his speed(me onli saw once bfore :p) u wont miss the shop there are alot of bmws parked inside n outside there he has been doin bmws for a long time so no worries used 2 do for tp bmws also. u can contact him at 64832198

Not much news of K fm BMW beside e K1200S,not seen in Spore. Is K out of Sin?

Or K just priced too high?

Or pple r more health conscious, prefer to hv upright riding position?

u refering to the K1200S the new inline4 from bmw? I heard it is recalled back due to some of the FI problem.

only the GS1200 is in sgp. Even the new RT or the other model which i cant recalled is not here yet.
