Ya i am very tempted in the RT ..... i have PM Yem_Paul before ... The drawback abt that bike is ..... i prefer the triangular shape headlight not the squarish.

It might be the older model i presume.

I think you are comparing the R1100RT and R1150RT. The R1100RT has the squarish headlight, and the R1150RT from end '01 onwards has the bigger triangular headlight.

Thanks skip ... anyway when's coffee?

Am doing some cosmetic stuff to the bike now.. can only meet when its done.. probably in 2 weeks time.. :p

Ya, dunno why we beemer lovers also like scooters. For me cos' like beemers, no chain hence no maintenance. Unlike beemers, small and easy to squeeze traffic, can carry cargo without panniers....

Sent my bike to Perfection yesterday. Left it there in the morning and collected it in the evening.

Things replaced on the bike:

- engine oil

- oil filter

- gear oil

- final drive oil

- spark plugs (2 x iridium plugs)

- fuel filter

Engine was also tuned, it runs much smoother and is easier to start now.

Total cost $345.

I'm happy with the service and the cost. 2 weeks ago when the clutch cable snapped on PIE, i got the bike towed back to PML and total cost for replacing the clutch cable was $200++.. $50 for tow, $50+ for the parts and $100++ for about 40 min worth of labour!! Now i get so many things changed at Perfection plus the whole day of labour i think its quite value for money (the spark plugs and fuel filter already cost $100+)...

The boss Alan is a nice guy and he seems knowledgeable. He asked me who recommended him to me as he seldom have walk-in customers, he usually serve his group of loyal beemer owners. I told him i got his contact from my "internet friends".. so any loyal Perfection customers here please go and claim your kopi... :)

Saw 2 new bikes in his shop, a HP2 and a GS12. Alan told me those are his paralell imports, so if you are looking for either one of these you can go take a look.

maybe he called outside tower other than PML itself thats why...

Just went to Perfection motor myself to send my newly bought second hand 1150gs for major servicing...seems like previous owner really dun take care of the bike. Alan open up the bike n to my surprise alot of things need to be done n change...Hopefully it wont cost me a bomb...else i'll swear man...previous owner told me he changed the batt a month ago but it seem the batt look quite old n by the signs of the batt slightly deform. Sigh...Well that is the thing when buying new bike...u wudnt noe if the previous owner really take care of the bike plus no recrds of the past servicing done.

No point talking..Just riDe......

dun take my word for it....cal BMW and ask 62923166

Each tow is charged $120 to PML by the contracted Tower but it will be borned by PML. The catch is it will only be towed back to PML...

I have personally towed my bike back twice.... once due to flat battery due no riding for more than a month and once due to 1 spark plug fouled and not firing causing excessive backfiring when i tried to ride.... both borned by PML.

Yes I had to pay the tow charges.

I spoke to the Sales Manager Steven regarding this, as I've heard of the free towing service before. He told me that bikes under warranty will be towed free-of-charge. For bikes that are not under warranty but are regularly serviced by them, they might extend the free-towing service (as a form of "warranty" for their service i guess). For bikes that are not serviced by them, the owner has to bear the cost of towing. The previous owner of my bike did all the servicing at Looi's. Actually the explanation kind of makes sense to me... if the PML workshop is not making money from my bike why on earth would they offer me free towing when it breaks down?

Anyway, I was given the number for a guy who uses his truck with a power gate to tow the bike, which is cheaper than the official tow company that PML uses. He seems to be very familiar with the PML workshop, I guess PML uses him for cases where the owner has to bear the towing charges.

For what it is worth, you may want to try your luck to contact PML, Chris Seow and ask him for your bike's records.

Cheers
