Just got my 1150gs back from operation..

Need alot of things to be repaired and changed.

Honestly i think perfection motors did a great job to service my bike from a bad condition to good condition....May cost slightly on the high side cos of the condition of the bike. So far after few days of riding all seems smooth and steady.

Just some qns for u guys owning a Beemer.

How much per litre can your bike go esp r1150gs?

What is recommended to be done on a normal servicing?

Heard the hall sensor can fail during heavy rain riding.True?

hope u guys can help me out here...

Regards

Usually any GS will fetch a 16km to 17km per litres with proper tuning. As for the hall sensor if new condition can last min. from 3 years to 5 years. Beyond 5 years beware of heavy rain downpour, while washing bike try to minimise the water output. Regular servicing like valve clearence , replace spark plugs , engine oil change shaft oli and gear box oli recomended in the repair and service manual is 10000km.

My R1150R hit 19.5 km per litre on tour. Less around town.

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to have my seat re-wrapped. Kena a tear at the left side of my Rider seat.

I'm riding a R1100R.

Anyone with a good recommendation? Planning to have the re-wrap with a similar material. Nothing fanciful.

Cheers!

Don't think you can get similar material to a BMW original seat material. Eugene Saddlery at Jalan Besar just before reaching Kelantan Lane (right side) got good feedback. Bendeemer got a legendary guy but I have never been there.

Cheers

Personally, i've patronized this 'legendary" Uncle & Auntie for the past 4 yrs, wraping 4-5 different bike-seats. Very gd handi-work, but dun see much of the fancy designs, not sure if they've 'upgraded' yet...? will most prob bring my R11S there to re-wrap the seat very soon.... address is in the link:

did my africa twin seat there but i dun find the final product and design nice...had told them to do the seat cover which i got it done in hatyai. in the end its totally different and the leather they use, in my opinion, ugly. BUT workmanship i must say is very good cos they put silicone on the joining pieces to prevent water sipping in. Another is also is that they tends to do their own way rather than what the customer wants. Choice of seat covers also limited.

Might try the eugene saddlery next for my GS.

Yes, there are.
