Hi,

Was told K75 has 3 cylinders, which is very unique, Throttle body sync can be tricky.

Was also told that PML is ex, that's my last resort.

Of course I try not to go a workshop who is going to charge me so high that I might as well go PML.....just asking around, bike still can move, just that there's a delay when snapping the throttle...

Thanks, will drop by and enquire.

I think the prices of BMWs in Singapore are marked up too much. An F650CS in australia costs less than 14k...

Hi all, sorry to dig and bring up an old post.

I need help to source for F650cs parts (fairings, brake lever, tank pocket etc.).

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/67/895/Motorcycle-Article/2002-BMW-F650CS.aspx

If anyone has any idea if the bike share parts with other 650 models would be great too.

Thanks all

Meor

had my pivot bearings replaced.the roller bearings from the old one dropped off like beads when removed.now no more wheel play.but one thing, when the mechanic pulled out the final drive, some oil poured out.He said an oil seal has worn off.somewhere in the transmission perhaps? i'll $ettle dat much later.

i also had my front tyre replaced with a michelin pilot road 2 .the bridgestone 021 dat it replaced have shown wear just after a few mths.it was my 2nd.The rear's still good. Now the bike just wants to lean :)

adventure of the week was when my bike stalled on the move after riding thru a downpour along SLE.i let it sit for a few hours and hooray it started up again.but died again just a few minutes after riding off.pushed it to a mscp and had it towed to the mech the next day.he said it could start.he rode around a bit and said it was ok.money saved

Hi all, i am appealing to you forumers to report any clone accounts of Newbie aka Mahdi. By now, i am sure many know of this troll who has registered many accounts for the purpose of insulting other members; posting garbage. If you happen to see or know any of his registered accounts are active, please report it with the report post http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/buttons/report.gif function so that we mods can tally the ip range and deregister/ ban him.

Our hands are full with managing the many sections of sgbikes and it would be really kind of our responsible members to help us weed out undesirable people such as limpeiwah/ newbie, etc. All in all, this forum is usually spam free and we hardly get persistent trolls who try to stir trouble, be it among riders or the many races of people who frequent here. Imagine our forum flooded with spam and such people, it would really suck when we need to source for/ provide information or arrange outings with our friends, let's not take this for granted.

Once again, thank you kindly for your contributions of valuable information to all BMW riders!

I tot this one has a lot of things replaced and upgraded and like joekia said looks like a good deal. When you said needs a lot of work done, can you elaborate? was kinda keen too... Can you pm me if you do not wish to share your findings here. Any idea the mileage done so far? Thanks :p

I think hard to find a excellent condition one nowadays. You can try the one Blackmamba is selling too. No matter wat, set aside 1 grand or 2 to do up the bike to your liking. I also wanna know about your findings on wat needs to be done too~ haha

tough to find pristine machines these days. most have been abused over the years without proper care. buying and riding a bike is cheap, keeping it in top shape can be costly.

its not only conti bikes that are expensive to upkeep, rare jap machines are a killer as well. small items that you thought as being insignificant, if not cared for will cause you a bomb later to fix.

may not be a good idea to discuss other people's machines so openly in the forum as it will make it tough for him to sell, you would not want that to happen to you, right?

anyways as usual, caveat emptor.
