Hi guys,just got my F800 shipped back from USA and was emailed that they have a factory recall for the chain and sprocket thingy,any idea will PML handle the recall as well?anyway,bike is not registered yet on the road..any suggestions??

@maddog   at least confirm that bike is from PML and not a PI..post 12695 i already mentioned the benefit of PML bike   the rest of the check is just like buying another 2nd hand bike..oh yeah make

Brake pad, can go motoworld to change SBS.. not costly and braking power is there.

Hi guys...installing hella fog lights...would the battery be affected? The lights are 12 volts...im riding the gs1150 btw... Thanks

 

Run a relay, connect either to the battery directly or to a central fusebox you will be good.

 

Just back from Malaysia, saw many beemers. One in particular I recall, left GP1 with all lights blazing.

Anyone has any figure for the fc of rt n gs(normal)? How many km/litre? Cos I find my fc not very good for a st. 80/20 (city/highway) Singapore road abt 15km/litre and abt 19km/litre for Malaysia highway and roads.

 

My 1150GS is also getting around the FC you are getting, did you do any modification on your exhast or mid pipe ??

please do not slag the country where you can enjoy riding our slightly more powerful machines. there maybe various shortcomings up north, i freaking know for sure being one of them, but at least we have proper roads where we can use our bikes :angel:

 

the day they get their act together and impose the rules that exists in s'pore will be a very good day for all of us, right?

 

enjoy the country and lack of enforcement while we can, take the good with the bad or just ride around the island where we live. I did so on my bicycle, it can be done in under 4hrs. :cheeky:

 

but please ride carefully with respect for others (BMW's riders are usually ok), we have lost too many of our fellowship and should not create a bad name for ourselves.

 

Nicely stated and so very true. Did a trip to KL on the 7th Aug early morning and in the afternoon was in Port Dickson for the Bike Fest. Not only was it raining heavily but with strong wind my 1200 GSA was feeling the push. Was told that there was a 125cc motorcycle accident on lane one with a guy lying dead on the side and another to the hospital.. What a loss!!

 

Ride safely today to enjoy another safe ride...

Agreed that this 2 guys did the ride with full support of 4 wheel drive vehicles, experienced guides and Doctor on demand as well.

 

These two guys are Celebrities, Rich & Famous in their own right and could have stayed at their mansions, dress stylishly, eat, sleep and travel in comfort.

 

Why would both of them subject themselves to the discomfort, danger and hazards of riding motorcycles across continents except that the satisfactions of doing so are only known to a breed called Adventure Riders.

 

What i see personally is that both of them sincerely have the Interest & Great Passion for Adventure on motorcycles.

Travel to remote places, rough it out and see the world from a motorcycle.(With full support of course b'cos they are Rich n Famous n Sponsored as well)

 

I agree with Aurium that to a certain extend these 2 gentlemen does make some of us reflect on ourselves to take some timeout from our hectic & busy schedule to indulge in our interest and passion.

 

They did it not once but twice as documented in Long Way Round & Long Way Down.

Like it or not,I think their 3rd Leg "Long Way Up" is Akan Datang...Cheers

Hi zhang jin, is ok for everyone to have their views.

Is the same everywhere ... Some like PAP and some don't.
