Hi.

I'm planning to get a KTM from Dirtwheel, but I have totally no experience with the shop and its dealings. Tried to google for more information and even on SBF, but there's not much information regarding the shop except for the basic minimum. Not much feedback from riders too.

May I know how the shop is like and whether any of you had any good/bad experiences with the shop? I do understand that if I do want to get a new bike OTR from KTM, I do have to go through them. Just want to be more informed before I make a decision.

Do note that I'm looking at a Class 2 bike, if it matters.

Thanks.

Mr. Ong is a nice guy! No problems dealing with him whatsoever.

Thanks for the reply. Mind if you elaborate more?

On an unrelated note, love the Irons too. Will be going to watch them next year.

Yep I went to check his profile. The last post was somewhere in February, but I still PMed him anyway. No harm done.

How about yourself, any experiences? Thank you.

nope.. other than walking past and drooling at KTMs.... no experience..

I would steer clear of this place after reading his blog post. After all, KTM themselves do not seem eager to serve their customers.

Never been there before so I can't comment. But I've heard not so good stuff about them before from friends myself. Wonder how the saga ended too!

You can also check with SpeedZone for pricing if u want, though I think they also get their new KTMs from DirtWheel. Retail price should be about the same, but it's up to u who u prefer to deal with.

What sort of 'funny' things? Care to explain? PM me if you feel uncomfortable doing so here. I wish to know as I might be dealing with them.

Didn't know this. I shall check both out today. Thank you.

I would like to know as well, via PM is necessary. I was eyeing a superduke a while back but was hesitant because of what I read in Angkukuay's post around that time. The last thing I want is to get a bike that comes with poor technical and parts support.

Well I dropped by Dirtwheel today, first time there. I was eyeing the 990 Super Duke in black, white and orange. So gorgeous, but at a price tag of $29900. Overall Ong gave me an alright impression. He wasn't pushy about the bikes, and he allowed me to sit on both the new and old ones. In fact, I would say he's a little uninterested, as one such forummer puts it. The mechanic was quite friendly too, he spoke to me and let me hear how the bikes sound like with different pipes, and also explained several technical points. Can't really give a comprehensive 'report', but I thought the place was alright, albeit rundown.
