I have often heard about folks who travel coast to coast in the United States…you know…from the east to the west…New York to San Francisco…that kinda thing. I did think of doing a road trip in the US at one time…in fact…I still think it would be something I would like to do before I die. The idea of facing one ocean today…and a completely different ocean a few days later is kinda neat! To me anyway!

Even though that sounds like a grand idea…it is a real drag because I am located in Singapore…and taking a flight all the way to New York just to do a coast to coast road trip sounded too much like an overkill to me. The next best thing has to be a coast to coast trip in Malaysia. Yeah, I know….I can always do a coast to coast trip in Singapore! Drive from Changi to Tuas….but hey…what’s the thrill in that!???

Hi Simon,

I rode with you and Alex once before. Even though I'm in Europe now, reading your blog just brings back the thrill and enjoyment I had when riding. Thanks for the awesome read. =) Looking forward to riding with you and exploring again when I'm back.

Love your blog Simon, and how you are so positive and passionate about riding; I named my S4 too after reading about yours :)

Anyways, I tried something close (Desaru-Mersing-Pontian; not sure where exactly u went) to this route today solo after I didn't manage to wake up in time for the durian trip, and I must say it is quite tiring. Lots of potholes at the trunk roads area so I was going at 80-ish for most of the time.

I'd love to go riding with you next time!

Hi gunshead, were u riding S4 at that time also? I had alot of issues with the potholes, not sure if its my suspension issue.
