Motorcycle & its components are replaceable & rebuildable.

The human body don't work this way.

The human body takes time to heal & recover, it might even break and cannot be fixed.

Please set your priority right.

No such thing as could afford to buy a bike but couldn't afford appropriate riding gears.

We are not famous racers or even paid to ride, protect yourself with riding gears to minimize the pain & injuries from the crash.

The stock suspension on the DRZ is the one of the best in the market. When set correctly to the rider's weight and riding style.. its just about as good as any aftermarket suspension systems.

What's the proof??

There are some people riding with stock suspension setups that are doing same lap times as those with front and rear Ohlins setups in Pasir Gudang.

Its not that the suspension is not good.. its more likely a case of not being set up properly.

My colleague got one for me from accessory shop. But last I heard was heat wraps around the header was illegal.

Sounds stupid?

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

If ur thinking of heat wrapping ur header u might wanna reconsider.

Pros:

"Slightly" reduce heat.

Hide rusty header.

Cons:

Smokes like a 2stroke bike if wrap contact with water/EO.

Corrode the header faster.

Wrapping the header with asbestos cloth is the biggest blunder you can do for your DRZ or any other bike for that matter.

The headers are the hottest part of the exhaust system... and they need the most cooling. Wrapping them with heat resistant asbestos cloth is as good as putting a blanket on a sweating person.

Since the exhaust gases cannot be cooled by the airflow at the headers.. they end up burning the silencer material in the end can.

The engineers at the manufacturers designed the exhaust system to be cooled this way... with a reason.

I dropped my k7 pretty hard too. That's on a Fatbar. Was considering changing Easton bars but Raptor talked me out of it as it wasn't very noticeable. Just slight bend. Unless yours is worse, like left and right really big difference, then change lar...

Full service? No idea. But my preliminary service consists of engine oil change, chain slack check, suspension check, tire pressures check.

Other items like fork oil, coolant and brake oil at their recommended intervals. Others will chip in.

My two cents

thkx ticks you the best :D. for my bar its not exactly noticable but a friend told me my "fork allignment" is not proper. i'm not exactly sure what he meant by that. =/ plus i sorta dont want any follow up problems with my bike. leaving it in that state should be alright, right?

if u wan the best, look for Doc Raptor, Kallang Bahru Complex there.

Slight bent still can do some minor adjustment on the triple clamp to make it even.

ohh, thanks for the info.

i have been struggling to pump at Shell and Esso. Can manage to pump but takes alot of time to maneuver the 'stick' in.

a question unrelated to the one above: what voltages are you guys looking at during idling?

2006 - 2008 // Honda NSR150SP

2008 - 2009 // Honda CBR400RRN

2009 - 2009 // Honda RVF400

i got the idea bro, but handling i think is equally important. not looking for a race set up but more of the available alternatives.

Thanks. Any other ways to maintain then? I'm only worried about the rust. Very unsightly.

Life is full of regrets but riding has never been one.
