Hey guys, ive got this gear shifting problem with my drz sm. its sometimes hard for me to change from 1 gear to another as it often gets 'stuck' in the middle b4 going to the other gear. For example, when i want to engage from gear 2 to gear 3, it sometimes dosent go to gear 3 but stays at gear 2. When i want to down gear from 2nd to 1st, i have to kick the lever quite hard for it to go to 1st gear. after changing engine oil, the gears go smooth for 3-4 days and then the problem will start again. I hope u guys understand what im saying here. So, i need some advise on what could be the problem.

Thanks.

If the gear shifter feels very loose, chances are the shifter spring is broken.

only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.

160/60 is meant for Honda Super4s.

Thanks :)

Actually the sound came from my wheel bearings but I thought it was a chain rub. Previously it had chain rubs but now it's fine. Any one had the same problem? Anything I can do besides changing to 150?

Think they've a spacer kit..? Or align the rim towards the right relative to the hub I think. Just my 2cents

So it's the chain rub problem or the wheel bearing problem now? Why don't u just bring your bike to your trusted mechanic to do a check and seek his opinion instead. Just get the wheel bearing changed since u mentioned that the sound came from there.

Sound coming from wheel bearings??

Better do something about that before the bearings wear out the hub.

Bearings cost a few bucks... wheel hub... many more money.

My advice.. your bike and your money. You decide.

Hi guys just got my drz with leo vince pipe, but the previous owner lost the cert. Is there a way to get a copy of the cert, and what are the steps required for me to get it certified again?

Sigh, just ride for 2 days only and kena stopped by TP. Lucky he see my vicom inspection slip and just let me go, if not really....

Oh yeah, the workshop I went to say my front brake disc a bit bent, but I ride still ok. Will it affect anything if I dun change it?

Also, when I coming to a stop, I will hear this 'tak tak' sound, not sure if its cos the brake disc or cos my sprocket worn out (my bike shop also say my sprocket worn out....).

Really noob and this is my frist scrambler, so any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks !

Maby front bearings? Spokes?

From what u described, we only can guess the problems. Best go to a trusty reputable mechanic and get 2nd opinion :)

Hi there bro,

Euro Model (Agent) :

Signal light - Big diamond shaped with clear cover running on 21 watts amber bulbs.

Hub - None cush hub

Headlight - Bigger then PI, running on 55 watts bulb in glass lens.

Controls - No hazard light. 2 diff keys for ignition and handle lock.

Seat - Slightly higher?

Jap Model (PI) :

Signal light - Small round amber signals running on 12 watts bulbs.

Hub - Cush hub ready.

Headlight - Smaller and sharper head running on 35 watts bulb in plastic lens.

Controls - Hazard light ready. 1 key for ignition and handle lock.

Engine wise both r the same. Basicly just cosmetic and lighting different. Hope this help, i may have left something else out or made a mistake. Dont flame me! :)
