How good are the combined-braking system of Joymax 300i in preventing skids? I am rather phobia of skidding on those cement carpark floors on rainy days.

Hi Friends,

I've been eyeing on the SYM Joy series for a while. Now I have some money.... am considering getting a new/pre-owned White Joymax 300i. I just have 1 concern - Is SYM a good brand to own?? Around my flat, I used to see a Malay Ah Pek and a butch lady ride the Joyride 200 and Joymax accordingly. But I don't see this series on Singapore roads anymore. I don't know if it's something wrong with the particular models?? I don't see them on the roads much at all!! Any advice welcome :-)

hi bimbobiker, well.... i cant say SYM is the best to own.. still depend individual liking and budget of coz...

SYM was in the market for quite sometimes.. servicing and spare spare is not an issue....

For myself, i have rode scooters before like GTS200, joyride200 EVO, Kymco Xciting 300 and Yamaha Majestic(for 1 weeks+)....

and my last decision is SYM JOymax300 after so much review...

i have class 2 license and road many bikes before... as lesser touring now... Joymax 300 is good enough for me to ride within SG and sometime short trip to JB...

If you have budget, Xciting 400 is kinda a good choice though :) worth to think about...

as for me why dont i get it... long story.. :p

Hope my 2cents help~ ...

Thanks Xiao-Mashi. Gosh...... You're still awake at this hour.

I'm just a little concerned because I don't want to buy a bike that will end up having to fork out a lot of money to maintain..... :-P

'Cos I saw some transactions here whereby one guy bought the Joymax from another person here..... Within 1 year, resold the Joymax. 1 year is very short period. So I am wary and I don't see Joymax/Joyride much on the road these days!!! Maybe I'm paranoid.

lolx... Saturday didnt sleep so early one... well... buy/sell so soon doesnt mean the bike got problem... before i getting this new JOymax... i was riding SUper4 Revo for 1 mths+ only... why i sell and change this scooter? backside itchy lor... haha...

is depend how you maintain and take care you bike...

but also by 10% luck i shld say regardless brand new bike or used bike...

For joymax 300

Engine Oil 1.2L require 2 bottle...

Gear oil change abt 10k -15k each time...

belt, clutch assy - 30k-40k? depend how heavy your right hand...

scooter is consider slightly higher maintenance than normal gear bike...

so, you shld think what u need or what you want to commute....

Oh....... I don't know anything about all these technical stats one. I only look at outer cover. SYM Joymax is very chio. Even a skinny butch can ride. When she parked next to me at traffic light, my balls stirred a bit.

I guess it's a risk I have to take. I really like white Joymax. I have white helmet. Want to be white rider. But I am fat. So do Joymax a little injustice. Skinny guy with tight pants and business Shirt ride Joymax will be so nice.

Dear God, I just want a problem free bike. Please God.

i riding white Joymax too... look sharp and clean... coming 2 months soon.. i would say so far so good...

there is some others Joymax300 rider who rode for coming 1 year and the bike didnt give them any problem...

well good luck on your consideration, if have meet up, you shld come down take a look and discuss with members here to understand more about this bike... :)
