My DID X Ring still going strong after 15000km... No need any tightening...

Maintenance is required like lubing and washing..

I changed my X ring and Honda original spockets at $230 at Yishun SPC (but nearer to Khatib MRT leh ) .:cheeky:

thats to my knowledge...

correct me if i am wrong~

cal how much time it need to complete one round of turn with a small sproket.

and do the same for the big one.

which one is faster and need less time to complete one turn of the wheel.

small will have pick up but no top. thats the disadvantage.

like wat cheeteck say, who try before and can proved that it is more heavy petrol usage.

the problem is who is so consistance thru' out the bike life, and can standad ya throttle control.

icic...

i always thought larger sprocket would have better pick up...

cos when riding my bicycle, the larger the rear chainring, the easier it was to pedal...

sproket u referring to front or rear one?

sproket u referring to front or rear one?

choose the largest spocket on your bicycle, climb up a slope.

after that, choose the smallest spocket, and climb again.

now lets try smth else.

go to the top of a slope and come down (using largest spocket)

now try that again but use the smallest spocket this time.

clearer to you now?

actually the easiest way to find out abt spocket is to ride a mountain bike n test it urself......

front spocket small rear spocket big..... pick up damn easy...... but u cant pedal for speed..

front spocket small rear spocket small....wan to move off tat time super hard to pedaL.....bike like very heavy....but this setting enable u to cycle at fast speed

hope this info can help u all to understand it better....

going up slope, a larger sprocket on the rear of my bicycle will enable easier climbing...

down slope, a smaller sprocket on the rear will give me more speed down...

so larger sprocket = better pick up?

smaller sprocket = higher top speed?

hope i am getting it right~

pls advise...
