Hi guys, read somewhere in this thread that some of you have installed Booster in your bike. Can anyone enlighten me what does the booster do?

babybike dun install superinoe at mootr world smicerboy bike down cuz of improper installation, got diploma on bikes but bodoh like biskut some of them, ya should fix up at where pingster, hazli n i did, more power pick up...the rest is up to ya.... o_O

Pro Dero

In view of smicerboy's encounter (?), where is your recommended place for me to install superione? Ah Wah's place is it?

Thanks for the feedback. Seems that the 3 of you did find the superione to improve the torque and pick up. Did your fuel consumption increase drastically too after installation of the superione? I do not mind a slight increase to get better pick up.

Wow, you are quite a guru on Varas. You are also really "on" man about your Varadero! Yoshimura exhaust....drool. Does the manufacturer make one for your Vara? Are you getting from Motoworld?

Do you expect an increase of 3-5 horsepower? Power!

Open up the fuse box.. Take out all the fuses.. Clean the connecrting points, Inspect make sure none is blown.. Then re-plug-in again...

i have no idea why... *last time vara84* has the same problem.. i just did that and the speedo CAME TO LIVE.. but sadly ...didint last long.. as now.. pingster.. bike's speedo.. is also dead... so give it a go man...hope it works...

Other then checking the fuses, wat u can do is to check ur battery.

The other time, I had the same problem one time only. I then went down Sanfu to have a check. I was told battery old liao must change. And initially I was told that my rectifier also spoil but I insisted to change the battery first. Use the same brand Yuasa. Rectifier was alright so never change. Now 1 month 1 day liao.. Speedo meter still going okie.

If the problem persists, could be ur CDI. This is costly... Dun ask me how much never change yet.

Dun change the rectifier yet. Have ur mechanic check the batt. See whether it needs to be changed or not. If u change the batt, check that the recharge voltage is more than 13 but less than 15. If it falls under this range ur rectifier is still okie.

The CDI is like the computer in ur bike. It controls everything electrical on ur bike. U can see it near the main fuse.

Daniyal Like Visual and LTC's observation. Check out the fuse first and the battery. Like the PC computer, a weak battery can reset the CMOS configuration or fail to boot up the PC. How long has the battery been in used ? Does your light and indicator brightness or operation seems different and did u hv problem starting the bike- signs of weak battery? I have a car jumper cable and we can check out if its the battery fault by using my vara battery ( I will disconnect my lead first) and hook it to your vara. Let me know if you want to try this

U can just use a volt meter for checking the battery. The voltage tells and when u revv the voltage will change too.

stargate>>> thanks for the offer...personally i feel that our battery optimum life span is roughly about 4-5years becoz it is dry cell....now it is only 3 years for me...so i think my battery works perfectly fine lah...but got to let the mech check first...hopefully i can buy the bicycle speedo soon...ehehhe...

LTC>>> u juz gave me an idea! :bouncefire:

Daniyal --> i installed it at sing hong at mayo street (oop sim lim tower) cost abt $58(speedo) + few dollars of installation. mayb cleaning of the fuse, taking out the whole speedo can revive it. tt wat i always do when it goes hay wire but it doesnt seem to work anymore.... btw $120 for washing and tuning at paul huh?? tot include the air filter??

what goes around, comes around......

daniyal Could it be that since our bikes are ridden with headlights on all the time that the battery usage life is shorter than what manufacturer stated ? Anyway, saya pun ada voltmeter if u need it

Aikon I woke up this morning and decided to get the undercowl. But I will get my engine guard installed first

Abbatory, Simone Thanks for good work on the ucowl

Aikon, Simone Guys, hope u get your taillights fixed asap - until then wear something bright at nite.

:offtopic: Hey I saw Boon Siew displaying the new (I think) Falcon NX 4 ( 400cc) I could not get a brochure from them (don't hv so they say). Anyway here's one I downloaded from website.

Whats Up DaWgZ!!

pingster>>> thx bro...correct me if i am wrong...do u want paul to fix the air filter which u order thru webbie?....u might hav a problem...the last time i wanted paul to change my engine oil which i bought from daystar...but dakar advised me not to...he will not entertain u....dakar knows him better...for your case...it is advised not to...but can give a try if u still wanna...by the way...cleaning and washing our carb can be tedious...it might require the whole day....fixing the air filter is simpler....the $120 doesnt includes installation of air filter....
