all bikes have petrol filter built-in to the petcock. If it's there, it must serve some purpose. It's not adviseable to remove the petcock to clean the filter regularly as it will destroy the sealing properties of the rubber gasket. I would say that the petrol filter is a maintenance free component as long as you top-up from the pump, and not from bottles like in "ulu" parts of vietnam or Indonesia.

No worries to those with free information. Yessh Toobez, its in an email out there somewhere but now its affixed in here. any road news is good news..

 

By the way any of you guys done grounding on any bike. I heard from another fellow biker he did it to his .. dont think it is a vara)..results as informed:Grounding:

1) Improves throttle response (lighter)

2) Improves acceleration (In terms of pick up)

3) Improves current flow (performance)

4) Improves smoothness of riding (a lot of diff)

5) Brighter H/light

6) Louder Horn

7) Better FC (that's wat he experience)

 

Any comments from any Bros..Seemed like pretty good.. not sure if there is any issue for a Vara 125..Pls comment.. :thumb:

Done grounding on my bike before but took it out already.. not needed on our bikes, unless you have a ICE (In Car Entertainment) system. It's stablising the voltage fluncutations, which our bikes dun have much. More importantly, can consider getting a surge protector to prevent sudden power surges.

 

For petrol filter, i had that too.. mean to trap micro particles. Need to change once after 2 engine oil changes. It's just a small plastic netting that fits into your petrol pump hose going to your carb. Think only abt $5, if i remember correctly. It serves to prevent your carbs to get too clogged up...

 

For the battery maxismer, had that too... supposedly to extend your battery life... when i had my battery for 2 years then I let you know ya? LOL. I'll be changing to a higher ampere battery though for the coming phuket-hyatai trip, for the hella lights.

 

Bros, can consider to mod your air filter to KNN ones. Washable, reuseable. Save money in the long run. Value for money!!!
